Introduction
From the outset on October 7, 2023, âA Tissue of Liesâ has served to justify the killings in the Gaza Strip of more than 30,000 civilians, of which 70% are women and children. The atrocities committed against the People of Palestine are beyond description. At the time of writing, at least 13,000 children have been killed:
âThat is one Palestinian child killed every 15 minutes⌠Thousands more are missing under the rubble, most of them are presumed dead.â
Military operations are invariably planned well in advance.
Had Hamasâ âOperation Al-Aqsa Stormâ been a âsurprise attackâ as parroted by the media, Netanyahuâs âState of Readiness For Warâ could not have been spontaneously carried out (at short notice) on that same day, namely October 7, 2023. The âState of Readinessâ etiquette (revealed on October 7) points to a carefully prepared plan.
It is now well established that Israelâs Operation âState of Readiness for Warâ which consisted in âWiping Gaza Off the Mapâ was carefully coordinated with U.S. military and intelligence. It is part of a broader joint Israel-U.S. military agenda.
Washington not only supports the Genocide, it oversees the International Court of Justice (ICJ).
Although South Africaâs legal initiative was directed against the State of Israel, the conduct of the genocide is a joint Israel-U.S. project, with U.S. military and intelligence operatives collaborating directly with their Israeli counterparts.
This collaboration is also supported by an extensive flow of military aid.
The Criminalization of International Law
What is at stake is the criminalization of the international judicial process. The ICJ not only refused to propose a âCease Fireâ, which was part of South Africaâs demand, its January 26, 2024 Judgment failed to question the role of the Netanyahu coalition government, which was largely responsible for the planning prior to October 7 of a comprehensive military agenda directed against Palestine, with the support of Washington.
Although the Republic of South Africaâs ICJ accusation was directed against the State of Israel, it is now confirmed, amply documented that the Genocide against the People of Palestine was a joint Israel-U.S. operation.
In this regard, the ICJ President Joan Donoghue â former Legal Advisor to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton during the Obama administrationâ is in conflict of interest. The latter indelibly raises the issue of her Recusal. (See: Recusals of Arbitrators and Judges in International Courts and Tribunals, Chiara Giorgetti).
While Article 2 of the ICJ Statute (p.212) âprovides that the court should be comprised of independent judgesâ, the practice of recusal of a judge, specifically with regard to the President of the ICJ is almost impossible. Nonetheless, the issue of âconflict of interestâ must be raised. Judge Joan Donoghue takes her instructions from Washington.
âEscalate the Genocideâ
The ICJ has granted Israel âwith the full endorsement of the Biden Administrationâ with a de facto âgreen lightâ (carte blanche) to continue and âescalate the genocideâ.
The ICJâs January 26, 2024 Judgment has set in motion a new wave of atrocities directed against the People of Palestine.
On that same day (January 26), Netanyahu confirmed that the genocide was ongoing and would continue.
âWe will not compromise on anything less than total victory. That means eliminating Hamas, âŚâ
While rhetorical condemnations against Israel prevail, what the peace movement fails to acknowledge is that no legal obstruction or hindrance was formulated by the World Court in its January 26, 2024 Judgment.
The Occupied West Bank, Jewish Settlements in Gaza
Criminal acts are now being committed in the occupied West Bank, coupled with an increase in the deployment of IDF forces.
In Gaza, IDF commanders have ordered soldiers to âSetting fire to homes belonging to non-combatant civilians, for the mere purpose of punishmentâ.
Moreover, barely a few days after the January 26, ICJ Judgment, plans were announced to establish a cohesive network of Jewish settlements in Gaza.
Israelâs Plan: Mass Starvation
The Biden administration responding to Netanyahu has ordered to cut funding to the UN Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA), which is indelibly slated to result in famine and the total collapse of social services:
UNRWA provides food, shelter, health care, education ⌠for the 5.7 million UNRWA-registered Palestinian refugees in East Jerusalem, the West Bank, Gaza, Jordan, Lebanon and Syria.
The curtailment of UNRWA funding is an integral part of the Netanyahu governmentâs carefully designed project to trigger mass starvation throughout the Gaza Strip.
âGaza is experiencing mass starvation like no other in recent history. Before the outbreak of fighting in October, food security in Gaza was precarious, but very few children â less than 1% â suffered severe acute malnutrition, the most dangerous kind. Today, almost all Gazans, of any age, anywhere in the territory, are at risk.
There is no instance since the second world war in which an entire population has been reduced to extreme hunger and destitution with such speed. And thereâs no case in which the international obligation to stop it has been so clear.â
These facts underpinned South Africaâs recent case against Israel at the international court of justice. The international genocide convention, article 2c, prohibits âdeliberately inflicting [on a group] conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in partâ. Introduction
There is a complex history behind Israelâs October 2023 plan to âWipe Gaza off the Mapâ. Itâs âan ongoing genocideâ, an absolute slaughter, coupled with atrocities.
Itâs a criminal undertaking based on Israelâs doctrine of âJustified Vengeanceâ which was first formulated in 2001.
The âJustified Vengeanceâ doctrine propounds in no uncertain terms that Palestine (despite its limited military capabilities) is âthe Aggressorâ and that âIsrael has the right to defend itselfâ which since October 7, 2023 consists in the conduct of a carefully planned genocide against the People of Palestine.
Paul Larudee begs the question:
âIs there a point at which the genocide in Gaza becomes egregious enough to provoke other countries to directly intervene in the Gaza Strip to prevent further genocide?
Can Israel exterminate the entire population without anyone stopping them?â
The answer to that question is provided by the International Criminal Court (ICC) in the form of a despicable set of accusations directed against Palestinians who are the victims of âAn Act of Genocideâ instigated by Israel with the unbending support of most Western governments.

That quote sounds about right, but the US is a proxy. Whilst Larry Johnson said that in the interview, is he correct? Who owns / controls / manages the Central Bank, the Federal Reserve?
Needs a question mark applied, as above, indicating Larry's statement is in question.
Agreed.

Thank-you for your reply. The reply questions were not directed at you for correction or otherwise. The 'quote' function carries the name of the member into the next reply and, so, it can appear that way. No way around that, but thanks for your input on the matter. I thought I made that clear by saying "rhetorical", but maybe not. Did not mean to put you on the spot (if that is what happened), but thanks and have a good rest of the day.
You're welcome.
Understood.
Rhetorical questions: A rhetorical question emphasizes a point by posing a question without expecting an answer.
No worries.
Thank-you kindly, and you too.
