Following the Maui fire disaster, there have been concerns of mishandling and a lack of transparency, with claims of media restrictions on the island.
The current media landscape seems determined to maintain a positive image of Joe Biden, especially evident in the coverage of the Hawaii incident. Two significant aspects underscore this narrative.
Firstly, there’s President Biden’s perceived aloofness, marked by his repeated “no comment” replies to early queries and frequent vacations during this crisis. His recent visit to Maui only magnified his public relations challenges. Secondly, there are concerns about the local administration’s measures, or lack thereof, which may have exacerbated the situation. Issues like an unutilized warning system, queries about the fire’s initial containment, and an alleged delay by a water management official in redirecting water to combat the flames, are notable.
Among this muffled media landscape comes an anonymous tip: A reported FEMA letter dated August 19, 2023 that urges an official media blackout on new disaster footage.

It was signed off on as Justin Angel Knighton, who is the Director of FEMA’s Office of External Affairs.
“A person wishing to stay anonymous has sent me this email by FEMA sent to their nonprofit who is headed to Maui to help with disaster relief,” Anthony Cabasa reported. “They say they are being asked to STOP posting any images or videos while on the ground effective immediately.”
“Out of respect for those who perished, we were asked by Maui County officials to pause on posting on social media and elsewhere new imagery of damage/disaster/debris starting now. They are asking for a full stop on disaster imagery going forward. At this time, we have not been asked to take any photos or video down. Our team on the ground is coordinating with the County for further guidance to ensure we remain fully aligned. Cultural sensitivity is of the utmost importance in all our response and recovery activities to this disaster.”
This squares with other reports, such as that given by Fox News’ Will Cain.

“We believe we are the only national media in West Maui,” Cain said. “I haven’t see any other crews. And they tried to censor us and shut us down. ‘West Maui is a media free zone.’ We only got through the checkpoints because I’m a property owner in West Maui. They have this place on info lockdown from Waihee to Maalaea.”

While Biden flies around in circles above Maui, residents are TRAPPED on closed roads for the next several hours.
Biden will then be meeting with pre-selected “residents” and will NOT be taking media questions.

When Sortor was asked if the military ever mobilized to set up camps and supplies for survivors, his response was sobering.
“It’s essentially ALL volunteer and non-profit operations,” he said. “FEMA is doing practically nothing. Very frustrating.”
Nonetheless, FEMA administrator Deanne Criswell insists that she and Biden have been in close communication throughout the entire disaster response.
"There are potentially 1,000 people who have perished in [the Maui wildfires]. How can we not know more about this, this many days out?"

It just goes to show, how Tweets (or Xeets?) and internet memes cannot be taken at face value at all. It's so easy to manipulate images now, that literally almost anyone with a computer can do it and with AI, that is made even simpler now.
There is probably AI out there that one could simply ask, to change an image in certain ways and it will do it (and it could look convincing enough). Plus, people can also use generative AI and have it write articles based on any given narrative.
Not saying this is how it was done (as it appears - and if that is the case), but it seems to me not unlikely that it could be. People can be producing a lot of information fast now too using AI to do all the work, when they just have to give it the idea.
Perhaps this is how the rise of AI is immediately quite concerning, as many have kept warning, because of the capability it puts in people's hands to be able to manipulate information (such as news) and in turn use it to manipulate a given narrative. We are in a new era.

Agreed. They cannot. One thing I look out for when it comes to sources - do they ever put out a Tweet (guess I'll keep calling them Tweets for now) or issue some sort of statement about things they claimed were true but now know are actually wrong, and apologize for them? If not - red flag. "I'm credible because I never admit to being wrong," is the opposite of credible (believable). There's a bunch of people tweeting replies showing the mistakes some sources make, and they do not address them at all. A person who cannot admit their mistakes is not a person whose information can be trusted.
It is. As someone commented to me the other day - "Boomers" (in particular) have no idea what's hitting them with all this AI. As well as grifters taking (unrightful) advantage of the (rightful) decline in trust of the mainstream media. Satan is making sure that one way or another, people are going to believe in lies (and spread them unthinkingly), and is cooking up a storm.
You have previously said it is better to know you don't know, than to think you know, for which I'm thankful and also mindful of. Someone once said that common sense actually isn't common. And just because we may think we are using common sense does not mean a person who disagrees isn't using theirs. To break the commandment not to lie (includes spreading lies) because one may be deluded into thinking one has permission to break the commandment (or not take it strongly enough into account) when it comes to a perceived enemy, is not using common sense in the least.
One of the ways this delusion can operate - "We know the enemy lies so how are they lying in this case?" Instead of being cautious that there may be lies involved, a flat-out assumption is made and believed/taken for granted, followed by only seeking confirmation of that assumption, and ignoring evidence to the contrary. A self-fulfilling prophecy. Wars can be won or lost due to this - if one side believes everything the other side says is false, then they can deceive themselves if the other side tells them the truth about where they are going to attack.
So caution, caution, caution. What is the point of common sense anyway, if not to help us to be cautious? If we are reckless and believe it's common sense guiding us, there is a problem there.
Finally, more important than informing others of the truth, is not telling/spreading lies. Because only Father knows the whole truth. And there is no soul Father wishes to be save, that can have this outcome affected by anything anyone else does. But for lying, for our own actions, we can affect ourselves.
In the beautiful movie Excalibur by John Boorman (1981), Arthur is close to being a representation of Jesus. And Father actually breaks King Arthur's sword for using it for evil. Demonstrating He (Father) will show no favouritism, even if it hurts Him. It doesn't matter that all in all, Arthur is a particularly "decent guy" and has done great things. No. It is only when he confesses and admits to his sin, that Father forgives him and repairs the sword (through the Lady of the Lake).

Thank-you. Agreed. We should be vigilant and strive to always remain open-minded, so as not be easily swept along with narratives that could be false. There are many agendas out there, including one which has been brought up before - of various people putting out silly and/or otherwise skewed info (i.e. disinformation) in order to cause divisions through the "poisoning the well" tactic.
Like it tells us in the Gospel, we are to become wise as serpents, yet harmless as doves.
Spreading false info is not being harmless, so we all need to practice discernment and when appropriate, be skeptical of info especially when it appears in times of crisis.
Many people (not meaning here but in general on the net) just see something once and then pass it on, often helping false ideas to spread. Like you said, caution, caution. We can and should learn to use the tools TM and Father have given us. Dune has the depiction of wearing the "still-suit" and distilling information, separating between the good and the bad, striving to keep what is pure and useful and then discard the rest.
It is often a setup - info that is put out to look extra appealing because it seems to support one's position and cause, but it could be a trap used to discredit a person or a group, later on. So it makes sense to always be making a conscious effort, to be somewhat skeptical in order to remain vigilant and awake to these realities.
It's definitely worth making the effort, to keep the quality of information we post here as high as possible. And when not sure about something we can always put it out there as a question. Usually in time it becomes more clear, what may or may not have happened. Also, as TM has shown, we can employ Occam's Razor i.e. the simplest explanation is usually or typically correct. It can be a handy one to keep looking at in one's toolkit.
Looks more like the emergency coordinators were part of a coordinated disaster.

- The annual FEMA disaster meeting was held on August 8 in Waikiki Beach, Honolulu, on the island of Oahu - a 30 minute flight from Maui
- While Hawaii's top emergency coordinators were meeting, wildfires were breaking out in Maui, with the Upcountry Fire reported around midnight
- Lahaina's fire flared up later in the morning: a school was evacuated at 6:40am and it was declared contained by 9am - only for evacuations to begin at 3:30pm
Maui mother racing home to her boy was held up by barricade and told area had been cleared. She returned later to find his body clutching his dog.
Hawaiians have been subjected in recent weeks to a horrific ordeal that saw Maui transformed into a crematorium and hundreds of lives lost. It appears as though bad government maximized their suffering.

Hawaii state official deprived Lahaina of water to fight fires until devastation was complete – WHY?
It has come out that a Hawaii state official deprived Lahaina landowners of the water they needed to protect their properties before the fiery inferno burned it all to the ground.
On Aug. 8 when the fires first began, the Hawaii Department of Land and Natural Resources (DLNR) delayed the release of water requested by the West Maui Land Co. to help keep the fire contained and well away from people's properties.
Why did they do this, exactly? One source claims that a "woke" politician of a leftist bent set out to harm the people of Lahaina by intentionally depriving them of water until after it was already too late.
M. Kaleo Manuel, a native Hawaiian cultural practitioner and the DLNR's deputy director for water resource management, made the decision to withhold water from Lahaina. Manuel later released the requested water, but not until after the fire had already run its course.
As of this writing, neither Manuel nor any other government official in Hawaii has commented on the revelation.

As war drums beat across Africa, as China cleans up after devastating floods, as Maui searches remains, a tsunami is scheduled to hit Japan Tuesday with predictions of 20 inches of rain in 24 hours. Climate is changing patterns both naturally and thru geoengineering with bomb like consequences. And Niger’s military coup has sparked a western reaction – WAR!
It is playing out like a 4th of July fireworks display with the finale being a ratcheted torrent of bombs bursting in air! Ordinary people are on edge, their tongues quick to lash out with anger and even rage.
Are we in the midst of a geoengineered tit-for-tat war?
The media overwhelmingly claim the Maui fire was caused by climate change. Why? Because the topsy-turvydom world claims everything nefarious is now caused by climate change. Vax deaths are because of – climate change. Plane crashes are – climate change. Citywide chaos is caused by – climate change. All because The Media says so.
The concept that a hurricane south of Hawaii caused the ‘climate change’ fires in Maui is preposterous! According to a past weather graph, the temperatures in Maui were normal, peaking at 88’, the wind speed was NE peaking at 25 mph at noon. This is normal. Hurricane Dora never made landfall and was tracked 500 miles ‘south’ of Hawaii amidst Northeasterly winds blowing southwest. Maui is north of Hawaii.
A normal ‘fast fire’ can travel up to 14 mph. The Maui fire was stated to be traveling at 60 mph.
What the Media Won’t Tell You About the Maui Fires
According to government officials, the vast majority of the recent fires in Greece and Italy were arson. These coordinated blazes also spread across Croatia, Portugal, Spain, and Algeria. In each scenario, the respective governments blamed ‘arson terrorists’. NOT Climate Change!
Therefore, what if Hawaii was a tit-for-tat weaponized reaction to the China flooding? Or, what if it was a US military exercise using Directed Energy Lasers – gone awry…?
Directed Energy Weapons (DEW) use electromagnetic energy via energy lasers and high power microwave rays. Sonar is used to hone in on a target. They are being developed and/or are already in use by: US, China, Russia, India, Pakistan, Japan, Korea, UK, Germany, France, Iran and Turkey. Their impact is somewhat akin to an atomic bomb.

Combined with our platform integration expertise, these systems are designed to defeat a growing range of threats to military forces and infrastructure across all domains.”
Lockheed, Northrop, Raytheon are in various stages of testing Directed Energy Laser Weapons. It is NOT a conspiracy. Their websites are rife with bravado regarding their ability to target our ‘enemies’. Certainly, it would not be the first time the US military ‘accidentally’ destroyed a city/town.
The 2010 earthquake in Haiti was considered by ‘conspiracy theorists’ to have been caused by a HAARP experiment causing tectonic plate shifts. The recent earthquake in Turkey was a ‘threat’ to Erdogan to obey and abide by Western Cartels. OUR Government is a Conspiracy – incapable of providing anything remotely parallel to Truth.
The power and control these DEW weapons can yield is considered much more efficient than nuclear. Yet governments continue to parlay the effects of climate change as though the military industrial complex is nonexistent.
The Jet Stream: Jet streams are narrow bands of strong wind currents that occur in the upper atmosphere around 30,000 feet. The jet streams roughly follow the earth’s rotation. The speed of rotation is fastest at the equator, and slows to zero at the north & south poles. Typically these air currents flow west to east and when cold air collides with warm air, the jet stream moves north or south creating curvature blips.
Jet streams cause changes in weather, affecting high and low pressure systems – and shaping the weather. Climate enthusiasts assert the opposite – that climate changes cause jet streams – a scientifically proven false assertion.
According to Science Alert, today jet streams are chaotic and undefinable. The current fragmentation of the jet streams are fueling catastrophic weather patterns. Scientists are baffled. As a result, they are calling for more geoengineered manipulation – which will likely cause more chaos.
The flooding in China is damaging crops. The western media is fueling claims that China’s flooding could result in Xi Jinping’s government being blamed causing a collapse of faith in his power. And once again, the point of the accusation is to undermine Xi Jinping in order to insert a western proxy. The secondary point is the creation of a global food shortage.
The reality is that earth’s weather is comprised of complex atmospheric and subsurface ecosystems that interact in a completed cycles.
Like a rain forest, if any singular interruption of the eco-balance occurs, the entire system begins a slow death. When we pound particles at CERN, seed clouds, manipulate climate, and block the sun, we are forever destroying the natural balance. And no amount of $$$$$$$$$$$$ will reverse the course SCIENCE has crippled.
