GCA to meet with Director of Public Health to discuss concerns over possible.
GCA Sonia Stafford is interviewed. She spoke about last Christmas, where the hospitality industry was told to close with only hours notice a week before Christmas; and because it was last minute, there was a lot of wastage.
The Catering Association says it's meeting the Director of Public Health tomorrow to discuss its concerns over whether restrictions could be introduced in coming weeks.
The Government issued advice on Friday to reduce mixing, and announced the cancellation of its Christmas parties due to the rise in COVID cases.
The Catering Association says the announcement has already affected bookings for the period, and urges people to postpone parties rather than cancel them.
