UK set to approve gene-edited livestock and crops in major post-Brexit break with EU policy

Ministers are set to give the go-ahead to the use of gene editing in agriculture which could see altered produce on the supermarket shelves in five years time, inews can reveal.
The Government is expected to issue its response to its own consultation on the technology at the end of the month that will give the green light to the “cautious exploration” of genetic engineering in farming.
Brexit minister Lord Frost announced yesterday the Government’s intention to repeal EU laws governing the use of genetic editing in the UK as part of a statement on “Brexit opportunities” in the coming years.
The inews article above goes on to list the benefits of gene editing but it pointedly glosses over the fact that “gene editing” is just another term for genetic modification.

Whenever we hear the word “sustainable” we would be well-advised to take a critical look behind the nice sounding words. In the case of the globalist Agenda 2030 with its 17 sustainable goals by 2030, the one for creating a “sustainable agriculture”, when looked at closely, will destroy a huge part of EU agriculture production and drive already rising global prices for food far higher.
In May 2020 the EU Commission released its Farm to Fork Strategy. The official Brussels rhetoric makes it sound like a food nirvana is coming. They state, “The Farm to Fork Strategy is at the heart of the European Green Deal.
They then get to the real agenda: “We need to redesign our food systems which today account for nearly one-third of global GHG (Green House Gas) emissions, consume large amounts of natural resources, result in biodiversity loss and negative health impacts…” This is a clever way of demonizing farmers and our food production as CO2 violators.
(They plan to do it ) by forcing farmers to go bankrupt by demanding new costly inputs to production and radical new genetic manipulated patented plants with unproven safety.
The key to the Davos and EU Farm to Fork Agenda is a radical reduction in pesticides to be replaced by gene-edited crops allegedly able to replace pesticides.

Big agricultural corporations are using new genetic engineering techniques to force GM food onto our fields and plates without us knowing. They claim these new techniques do not produce genetically modified organisms (GMOs) and should be left out of the EU’s GMO regulations. They want to be able to flood the EU market with the GM food that Europeans have so far refused.
In reality, seeds produced with new GM techniques like CRISPR/Cas are fundamentally different from non-GM seeds. They are potentially unsafe for the environment and our health and have no place in nature-friendly farming. Armed with strong intellectual property rights and patents, multinationals like Bayer/Monsanto and Corteva will only use them to further entrench their control on our food production.
The real reason for the production of G.M.
