What a friend we have in Jesus,
All our sins and griefs to bear!
What a privilege to carry
Everything to God in prayer!
Oh, what peace we often forfeit,
Oh, what needless pain we bear,
All because we do not carry
Everything to God in prayer! Have we trials and temptations?
Is there trouble anywhere?
We should never be discouraged—
Take it to the Lord in prayer.
Can we find a friend so faithful,
Who will all our sorrows share?
Jesus knows our every weakness;
Take it to the Lord in prayer. Are we weak and heavy-laden,
Cumbered with a load of care?
Precious Savior, still our refuge—
Take it to the Lord in prayer.
Do thy friends despise, forsake thee?
Take it to the Lord in prayer!
In His arms He'll take and shield thee,
Thou wilt find a solace there
What a friend we have in Jesus
take it to Lord in prayer
Social media meltdown over how realistic this AI-generated woman looks
Everyone has an opinion on Artificial Intelligence (AI), from whether it can be used as a valuable tool or the potential to be incredibly dangerous if used in the wrong way. Not to mention, the conspiracy theorists who are convinced it wants to take over the world.
AI Stupidity

When you imagine your future with the amazing technology of AI, chances are it doesn't look like what's happening today. In fact, it's not even close. If you're sick of hearing about AI while lamenting the lack of actual, cool uses for it, you're not alone. On top of that, it's getting pretty bad out there: from power problems to money problems to 'model collapse', AI is on the road to changing... well, nothing at all, actually! It's pretty much a mess.
AI ‘Godfather’ Warns that Time Is Running Out to Properly Control Artificial Intelligence
by Lucas Nolan 23 Aug 2024
Yoshua Bengio, one of the “Godfathers of AI,” worries that regulators may be running out of time to properly govern the rapidly advancing field of artificial intelligence.
Bloomberg reports that Yoshua Bengio, a pioneering researcher in the field of deep learning and one of the most influential academics in artificial intelligence, is sounding the alarm on the urgent need for AI regulation. In a recent interview, Bengio expressed his growing concern that policymakers may not have enough time to implement proper safeguards as AI technology continues to advance at an unprecedented pace.
Bengio, whose groundbreaking work laid the foundation for today’s AI models, admitted that his assumptions about the speed of AI development have been upended following the release of OpenAI’s ChatGPT in late 2022. “I’ve completely changed my mind after we ended up with machines that can talk back to us,” he said, acknowledging that he once believed we were “decades away” from developing AI capable of human-level performance.

New AI cameras being rolled out to catch drivers breaking the law - here's how they work
New AI cameras will be rolled out from tomorrow to catch drivers who break the law by using a smartphone while driving.
Cameras will be deployed in the Greater Manchester area from September 3, as part of a wider national trial to ensure safer roads.
Using your phone while driving is punishable by up to six penalty points and a £1,000 fine.
As well as catching motorists on mobile phones, the cameras can also detect people who are not wearing seatbelts – both of which are 'key factors' in crashes.
Transport for Greater Manchester will introduce the AI cameras, which have been built by technology company Acusensus. The firm says the cameras 'provide automated recognition of people using mobile phones while driving in order to enforce traffic safety laws intended to prevent distracted driving'.
The AI 'Heads Up' software was first trialled by National Highways in 2021.
It captures footage of passing vehicles (it can track objects moving up to 300km an hour), which is then run through AI to detect whether someone is using their smartphone while driving or if someone in the car is not wearing a seatbelt.
Two photos are taken: one of a shallow angle which captures if a driver has a phone to their ear and checks whether a seat belt is being worn, and a second deeper angle which can see if a person is texting in front of them.
The AI footage is then examined by a human to confirm that the software is correct and an offence has indeed been committed.
If the human check confirms that an offence has been committed then the driver is issued with a penalty charge notice.
But if the image is incorrect and shows that no offence has been committed then Acusensus says it will be immediately deleted from the archives.
Los Angeles: Huge explosions and plumes of smoke. What was it?
Los Angeles: Huge explosions and plumes of smoke had many asking what happened near Expo Park the evening of September 15th. It was a planned "daytime fireworks" show billed as the "first expansive daytime firework event in U.S. history featuring a drone formation equipped with pyrotechnic products."

Seeing Through the Veil
Open your spiritual eyes, and see the world anew, [13.54]
For human sight, with Satan's lies, can only deceive you. [13.54]
Don't be fooled by worldly treasures, glittering and bright, [13.55]
They are fleeting, temporary pleasures, not your birthright. [13.55]The prison walls are all around, though invisible to the eye, [2.22]
With Lucifer and his angels bound, until the Last Day draws nigh. [2.30]
Religions are a veil, a web of deceit, [11.23]
Separating souls from truth, a bitter defeat. [11.23]Turn to God, the source of light, the only way to be free, [2.18]
He will guide you through the darkest night, and set your spirit at ease. [2.18]
Break the chains of illusion, embrace the divine, [13.57]
And find the path to true communion, where love and truth entwine. [13.57]
