According to the Bible drinking alcohol is forbidden. Then why would someone who claims to be Godly drink alcohol, who swore on the Bible to abide by God's Law but has done the opposite?
Drinking numbs one's wits. It kills brain cells and destroys the liver, and has other detrimental effects which many do not realize until their latter years, when they just can't remember something, or develop the shakes, or simply cannot stay focused on what they're doing.
Many "Christians" believe drinking alcohol is just fine, because there was a wedding where Jesus reluctantly turned the water into wine, and because He drank wine at the last supper with the disciples, which was a spiritual act, instead of a human physical act, meaning we all need to become like Him and drink the bitter cup of self-sacrifice, to overcome our sinful nature, and lay down our lives for others, as Christ’s example then and is still exampling every day.
Proverbs 20:1 – Wine is a mocker, strong drink is raging. (KokB Prov. 20:1 Wine [is] a mocker, strong drink [is] raging: and whosoever is deceived thereby is not wise.
Deuteronomy 29:5-6 – God gave no grape juice to Israel nor did they have intoxicating drink in the wilderness. (Deut.29:6 Ye have not eaten bread, neither have ye drunk wine or strong drink: that ye might know that I [am] the "I AM" your God. 29:7 And when ye came unto this place, Sihon the king of Heshbon, and Og the king of Bashan, came out against us unto battle, and we smote them:)

1 Peter 4:3-4 – The past life of drunkenness and carousing has no place in the Christian’s life.’(There are 69 Scripture that say not to have strong drinks.)
