Russia Sending 27 Tons of Humanitarian Aid to Gaza
Russia on Thursday sent 27 tons of humanitarian aid for civilians in the Gaza Strip to be transported from Egypt, Moscow's Emergency Situations Ministry said.
"A special plane has taken off from the airport at Ramenskoye near Moscow for El-Arish in Egypt. The Russian humanitarian aid will be handed over to the Egyptian Red Crescent to be sent to the Gaza Strip," deputy minister Ilya Denisov said in a statement.
Denisov said the aid comprised "wheat, sugar, rice [and] pasta."
U.S. President Joe Biden on Wednesday unveiled a deal to allow desperately-needed humanitarian aid to enter Gaza, where 1 million people have fled their homes amid withering Israeli air strikes.

Russian President Vladimir Putin says that the United States is responsible for what he called “deadly chaos” unfolding in the Middle East. Putin says that the current ruling elites of the US and their satellites are the main beneficiaries of world instability. He emphasized the need for concrete actions to address the suffering and conflicts in Palestine, Iraq, Afghanistan, and Ukraine.
Russian President Vladimir Putin on Monday sought to blame the West for the crisis in the Middle East, where Israel is bombing the Gaza Strip to try to eradicate Hamas militants who killed some 1,400 people, mostly civilians, in Israel on Oct. 7.

Putin said Russia was fighting the shadowy U.S. forces he blamed for the Middle East crisis on the battlefields of Ukraine.
"Palestine can only be helped by fighting those who are behind this tragedy. We are Russia and we are fighting them in the context of the 'special military operation'. Both for ourselves and for those who strive for real true freedom," he said.
"The key to resolving the conflict is in the creation of a sovereign, independent Palestinian state," Putin said, implying that this was not Washington's stated aim.
He also blamed the West and Ukraine, around a fifth of which Russian forces have seized, for events in Dagestan, where a mob on Sunday night attempted to hunt down passengers who had just landed at Makhachkala airport from Israel.
