RUSSIA VS NATO

You saw them. Does "didn't bother investigating further" mean that you didn't read them?

Let's compare some of the USS Cook 2014 incident materials:

Often linked to article on Voltairenet: What spooked the USS Donald Cook so much in the Black Sea? starts off with quite a statement:

The State Department acknowledged that the crew of the destroyer USS Donald Cook has been gravely demoralized ever since their vessel was flown over in the Black Sea by a Russian Sukhoi-24 (Su-24 ) fighter jet which carried neither bombs nor missiles but only an electronic warfare device.

Wow, the State Department has even acknowledged it. Incredible. The crew was gravely demoralized. Incredible...

However, it doesn't make any sense that The State Department would admit something like that. And the source of this claim is...? missing...

...according to several media reports, completely demoralized its crew so much so that the Pentagon issued a protest

Where are these several media reports?

If we read the protest to see if there are any indications in it that it was made because it demoralized crew in it... we see that there is nothing about demoralizing it's crew in this,

Then we have:

As the Russian jet approached the US vessel, the electronic device disabled all radars, control circuits, systems, information transmission, etc. on board the US destroyer.

So we're lead to believe the Russians have equipped this single jet fighter with something that disabled not only the radar but also control circuits (whatever that means), systems (what ever that means) and information transmission and etc (whatever that means) onboard the destroyer? Sounds quite incredible.

And of course this action would be classified as an attack.

Since that incident, which the Atlanticist media have carefully covered up despite the widespread reactions sparked among defense industry experts,

I wonder what exactly is meant by "carefully covered up"? Where are these widespread rections among defence industry experts (who?)

According to some specialized media, 27 sailors from the USS Donald Cook requested to be relieved from active service.

Some specialized media? Sources?

The Quora discussion I linked to from another thread sounds more probable to me than Russia demonstrating (and showing their hand too early) their nearly supernatural capabilities to the world.

Standard Cold War practice.

The Sukhoi buzzed in to provoke the USS Donald Cook’s captain to flare up everything he’s got. This was done in hope that the captain got provoked enough and flared it’s AA defense system and a Russian EW aircraft (either that Su-24 which could be modified to have all sort of EW equipment or another EW aircraft flying secretly somewhere monitoring all this) could record it for analysis (i.e response time, electronic signature, radar strength , etc).

The Donald Cook’s captain however wasn’t going to give the Russian aircraft the satisfaction of recording the electronic data of a modern US destroyer so he wisely shut down some or most of the destroyer’s electronics/go to radio silence/EMCON (or just simply do nothing) so that the Russian got almost zero useful data.

Russia, which was pretty disappointed however saw the opportunity, to spin a fake story of how a single Su-24 could “jammed”/”shut down” a US Navy destroyer so bad that around 20 enlisted apparently “resign” as soon as they called port.

...First, US enlisted personnel can never resign. They’re on a contract that ends on a specific date....

...More importantly: Electronic warfare and jamming is often about power. Megawatts of power. An Aegis ship has enough power to light up a small city. This is not an exaggeration. A city of 80,000 people consumes about 45Mw of power. The LM 2500 engine produces about 30Mw of power and the ship has 2 of them dedicated to producing electricity.

The engines required to produce this power are the size of a shipping container weigh almost more than an SU-27 by themselves. This is without taking into consideration the generator and fuel that you need to use to get this power. Anyone who believes than an airplane can “fry the electronics” of a modern warship that can likely produce 100 times the power that the airplane can produce simply has no grasp of electronics or energy. To put things in perspective if an aegis radar focuses a lot of it’s energy on one narrow spot in the sky, they can actually cook the pilot and electronics of an aircraft much like being inside a microwave oven. I’ve been in a helicopter approaching an aegis radar equipped ship and the pilots were really unhappy that the radar facing them was still operating at normal power. Think about the lead lined clothing they protect you with when you’re getting an x-ray*. I was likely having my cells messed with for a few seconds. Cancer causing anyone? Anyone who tells you that an airplane has a suitable counter to this kind of power is either a liar or a buffoon with no real grasp of reality....

The quora discussions have more interesting insights....

I don't see any problems in the "MSM debunk" by the Atlantic Council's Digital Forensic Research Lab, here (other link than the NYTimes link I linked to previously). Without attacking this messenger do you see any problems with it, please?

And this propaganda piece that Putin flew over the USS Eisenhower and attacked it with their secret weapon to disable it of course has no credible sources. Almost sounds like something out of North Korea.

"a powerful wave of electromagnetic waves was recorded"

(by whom?)

"this anomaly was also recorded by Iranian warships"

(ohh.. source?)

"it is reported that the onboard computers of ships within the radius or 2-3 km were buggy for several minutes"

Oh so these Russian jets flew that close to the Eisenhower and these other ships? Quite close. Where can we read this report?

"surprisingly after this incident the American fighter-jets onboard the nuclear powered aircraft carrier Dwight Eisenhower did not take to the air for 24 hours"

Wow, sounds incredible... source for this claim?

Are we just to trust this robot voice borzzikman and his claims?
