If it is true that “you are what you eat,” as the old adage has it, then what does that make us?
As consumers of heavily processed, chemically treated, GMO-infested gunk, we in the modern, developed world have solved the problem of hunger that plagued our forebears since time immemorial by handing our food sovereignty over to a handful of corporate conglomerates.
The result of this handover has been the creation of a factory farming system in which genetically engineered crops are doused in glyphosate and livestock are herded into tiny pens where they live their entire lives in fetid squalor, pumped up with antibiotics and growth hormones until they are slaughtered and shipped off to the supermarkets and fast food chains.
There are plenty of documentaries and exposés detailing the dangers of this industrial farming system that we find ourselves beholden to. Any number of activists ringing the alarm about these problems. Numerous campaigns and marches organized to raise awareness about these issues.
Yet still, nation after nation gets fatter and sicker as traditional diets based on fresh produce sourced from local farmers are displaced by the fast food pink slime sourced from the industrial farms of the Big Food oligopoly.
A British farmer has said that the government has offered a scheme to pay farmers not to supply food for three years. This scheme is part of a larger trend where farmers are being financially incentivised by the state to reduce food production. Why would they do that?
Last week, TrailBlazingTruths posted a video clip on TikTok of Cornish farmer Keith Andrews explaining how the UK government is incentivising farmers not to grow food.
“We’ve been offered £2,500 to join a scheme for the next three years where we don’t supply you any food,” he said.
“I’m going to plough a field. I’m going to put spring barley in. I’m going to get £440 off the Government, per acre. Then when it comes to crop size, leave it [to] rot in the ground.
“So, I don’t get no straw for the cattle, you don’t get nothing for your bread, for everything we make.
“I can also plant bee mix which is for birds and bees. I can plant wild bird seed which is for wild birds.
“I can also be paid to buy a tonne of bird seed, like anybody puts in their garden for the birds, and threw it out on the ground once a week. I can get paid for that.
“My accountant says ‘do it’. Because in doing that, I’ve not got to buy fertiliser – which since the Ukraine war it’s gone from £250 a tonne to £1,000 a tonne, so in order to fertilise your food I’ve got to buy fertiliser at £1,000 a tonne.
“So, I’ve now got a crop that I don’t have to spray, I don’t have to send nobody out there with a tractor, I don’t have to fertilise it or I can just leave it in the ground to rot.”
The modern food system is heavily influenced by the pursuit of profit, leading to issues such as land loss, food insecurity, illness and environmental degradation. Large investment firms and agribusinesses profit from this system, while lobbying ensures their dominance in policy-making.
The book ‘Sickening Profits:The Global Food System’s Poisoned Food and Toxic Wealth‘ by Colin Todhunter delves into these issues, offering a comprehensive analysis. Prominent activist Aruna Rodrigues expressed concerns about the impact of these issues on Indian sovereignty and food security. The book highlights similar challenges in different parts of the world and raises the question of whether these trends can be reversed.
ADAPT2030 David Dubyne - This Is How Orchards Will Disappear and Our Food With It AUG.07.2024 @3:48
Coops closed. Hanis the way this was announced to those producing our food, hey, you might have a problem. Not only is BC Tree Fruit closing but their arm that supplied fertilizers...
Orchards in B.C had fruit coop with hundreds of multi-generational family land owners supplying fruit to the co-op that found markets for every bit of the fruit. That closed just a week…
B.C. Tree Fruit cited extremely low estimated fruit volumes, weather effects and difficult market and financial conditions as the reasons for dissolving the co-op. It is seeking court direction to liquidate its assets. Photo by ANWAR AMRO /Getty Images

Panic is hitting members of a B.C. co-operative that for nine decades helped fruit tree growers in the Okanagan Valley get their products to market.
Since Friday’s closure of B.C. Tree Fruits, hundreds of farming families are now scrambling to find another way to get their tree fruits packaged, distributed and sold.
“It’s gut-wrenching,” said Oliver orchardist Pinder Dhaliwal, 54, who for more than a decade has relied on the co-op to take in around 9,000 kg of apples each year from his farm.

“The apple harvest is just around the corner — I have all of this product that needs to be packaged and delivered, but nowhere to take it.”
Jennifer Deol, who runs There and Back Again Farms in Kelowna, was shocked to hear of the closure in the middle of the harvest season.
“People are literally picking fruit right now and it was meant to go to the co-op and the doors are closed. And that is a really scary situation especially because it’s already such an abysmal year.”
Members were told the news in an email from the co-op, which urged members to “immediately search for another alternative to market your fruit for the balance of the 2024 season.”
‘Food Security Is National Security,’ But America Is Losing That War - China Grain Inventories Are So Abundant That The Stock-To-Use Ratio Is Above The International Security Threshold
The United States government and the Chinese Communist Party see “national security” in two very different ways – and that includes food security.
Historically, the CCP has been known to weaponize its food supply, which it has done against millions of its own citizens, resulting in mass starvation and suffering. But today, it appears the communist government is stockpiling food, indeed, making it a major national security priority for its people. Why?
Tommy Waller, president and CEO of the Washington, D.C.-based think tank the Center for Security Policy, says most Americans do not understand that “food security is national security”. And that currently, the safety of American citizens is, indeed, being jeopardized by the U.S. government. The retired Marine Corps lieutenant colonel, in an interview with WND, explained that “at the federal level, our nation has catastrophically failed to prioritize food security while all of our adversaries, both hostile nations and globalists, have had their crosshairs on food for quite a while.”
For example, Waller said, in stark contrast to “having no problem starving its own people,” the Chinese government has an entire agency called the National Food and Strategic Reserves Administration. It is largely responsible for laws and regulations that oversee grain and material reserves of the East Asian country.
In statistics often touted by members of the Chinese regime, Waller said, “China’s grain inventories are so abundant that the stock-to-use ratio is well above the international grain security threshold.”
Global Food Prices Jump Most In 18 Months As Supermarket Inflation Storm Worsens

The world could be on the cusp of another food inflation shock as the benchmark for world food commodity prices recorded the fastest monthly increase in 18 months in September.
A perfect storm of war in Eastern Europe and broadening conflicts in the Middle East, snarled maritime supply chains, extreme weather across croplands, de-growth climate change policies pushed by the far-left in the West, and rogue central bank money printing have all contributed to sticky food inflation.
Geoengineering, we're being told it's good for the planet and good for humanity. We're told that Geoengineering only employs harmless water vapor from jet engines and we're told they are harmless "contrails".
Geoengineering has many other not so official names like "Stratospheric Aerosol Injection", "Global Dimming", "Climate Engineering", and several others as well as the "Pop-Culture" term "Chemtrails".
The latter is the one truth researchers choose to adhere to with the exception of a minor few who demand that not using the "proper scientific term" will somehow diminish the impact that researchers will have on exposing this illegal and unregulated practice which is performed by the U.S. Military Industrial Complex at the behest of the richest and most powerful global corporations, specifically those involved in the "defense" and "war" industry.
I tend to disagree with that evaluation and I choose to continue to identify this criminal practice as "Chemtrails". The name is easy enough for the common man to understand as a simple compound word made up from two words, Chemical + Trails. This is a very good thing, because those are the people we are all trying to reach. They are the ones with the numbers, even though they are not extremely wealthy, the old adage "Strength in Numbers" still applies.
With that in mind I recently discovered a location in Minooka, Illinois that employs one of the necessary tools required for creating large swaths of cloud cover in a short period of time, thus making the practice of Geoengineering a more efficient process.
So far I have deduced that their are 3 major components to this process to make it work really well...
A planned mass demonstration by farmers against the UK government’s inheritance tax changes has been significantly scaled back by the National Farmers Union (NFU) as it has been blocked by police restrictions.
