Expert: What Five Eyes Can Do About Solomon Islands

2-minute video

Concerns have been arising in Australia after the Solomon Islands signed a security treaty with China. An expert breaks down what the Five Eyes can do about the situation

Some comments about China and the US seen on the net...

The long range plan is to isolate Russia from the EU (and rest of the world) and for the US to strangle China. The US wants to maintain its hegemony over the world. China has 1.4 billion people and will inevitably overtake the US economy and they are socialists who are producing results. :scream:

I will say this much about China
China pays 100% for the education of it's citizens - they are very big on that.
When I was at Princeton there were many Chinese students getting their Ph.D.s and whatever else they qualitifed for and China paid the bill - no questions asked.
It was embarassing.
United States has the money and just stole it from the citizens and kept it for themselves like thieves
China has the money and spends it lavishly on the finest eduction for it's citizens
I'll bet you didn't know this

China threatens military action

Beijing won’t hesitate to use force to bring Taiwan back under its control, Chinese ambassador to France warns

Beijing will use all possible means to regain control over Taiwan, including military ones, Chinese ambassador to France Lu Shaye has said.

“We can’t leave Taiwan independent,” Lu insisted during his interview on Thursday with YouTube channel Livre Noir.

“We’ll retake Taiwan by all means, including military ones. If we can’t reunify the country by peaceful means, what else are we left to do?” he pointed out, becoming yet another Chinese official to offer such a warning.

The ambassador has blamed the US for stirring tensions around both Taiwan and Ukraine, where Russia’s military operation is ongoing.

“The Americans want to start two wars in the world: one in Europe, the other in Asia,” he said.

However, Lu rejected any comparisons between China’s possible move against Taiwan and Russian actions in Ukraine. “Taiwan is not a sovereign state. It has been an integral part of China since ancient times,” he explained.

Beijing has recently increased its maritime and aerial military activity around the island, saying that this was needed to deter “collusion activities” between “Taiwan independence forces” and the US government.

Taiwan has been self-governing since 1949 but has never formally declared its independence from China. So, Beijing considers the island of 23.5 million a part of its own territory under the One-China policy.

While agreeing with the One-China policy on paper, Washington maintains strong unofficial ties with Taipei, selling weapons to the island and backing its push for sovereignty. Beijing has repeatedly decried such contacts as provocations and as meddling in China’s internal affairs.

Last month, President Joe Biden promised that the US will stick to its commitment to defend Taiwan if China eventually resorts to the use of force.

Some American officials have also claimed that Beijing was closely monitoring the conflict in Ukraine and drawing conclusions, in preparation for a similar move against Taiwan.

Competing Directly With Belt and Road Initiative Spells Disaster for Western Taxpayers

https://thescotfree.com/opinion/competing-directly-with-belt-and-road-initiative-spells-disaster-for-western-taxpayers

U.S. President Joe Biden’s announcement at the 2022 G7 meeting that $600 billion would be given to the developing world should set off alarm bells across the West.

What is driving this massive transfer of wealth from the developed world to developing countries?

The reason is the U.S. State Department, and Biden managed to persuade G7 leaders in Germany that Western democracies need to match Beijing’s bribery of the developing world.

The State Department argues that China’s Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) is successfully recruiting “third world” leaders into a maturing Beijing-Moscow bloc, and it was, therefore, imperative the West create a counter-BRI—in this case, the Partnership for Global Infrastructure and Investment (PGII).

So the G7 has effectively announced a new kind of “Cold War” to win over the underdeveloped world between Beijing and the West.

So with the BRI expanding China’s influence and control over ever-growing portions of Africa, Asia, Latin America, and the Pacific, the State Department has decided to get back into the business of so-called “development aid,” which it hopes will buy the support of third world leaders.

China is teaming up with Russia to compete against the United States in space, top NASA officials are warning, including plans to build a lunar base on the moon, attempting to claim Earth’s satellite for its own.

Fox News national security correspondent Jennifer Griffin reported on the comments from NASA Administrator Bill Nelson on Wednesday, saying that there were “real fireworks this week coming from Beijing” in response to his warning about a new space race and China’s intentions to “occupy the moon.” “We must be very concerned about China is landing on the moon and saying: It’s ours now and you stay out,” Nelson said this weekend in an interview with German newsmagazine Bild.

China was doing well because “they steal ideas and technology from others,” said Nelson, accusing China of using their space station to study how to destroy other nations’ satellites. Zhao Lijian, China’s foreign ministry spokesman, fired back at Nelson for what he called “irresponsible remarks,” calling him a liar and accusing him of “smearing China” to “slander China’s normal and reasonable foreign affairs,” Griffin reported. Nelson shrugged off the Chinese critique in a statement to Fox News: “The Chinese space exploration program is run by their military.

This is different from NASA, which has always had a peaceful and open civilian space program with international participation.” General David Thompson for the Pentagon’s Space Force said the U.S. had concerns about China because they were “building and fielding and updating their space capabilities at twice the rate we are.” America was the first to land an astronaut on the moon in 1969, Griffin reported, but China had “ramped up” their focus in recent years, including “an uncrewed moon landing in 2013 and plans to send astronauts there in the next six years.”

Earlier today, Griffin continued, the heads of the FBI and British Intelligence gave an “unprecedented joint speech” at MI-5 headquarters in London warning that China was their “biggest game-changing challenge.” According to FBI director Chris Wray, the agency opens a counter intelligence investigation against China every 12 hours, with investigate up “a whopping 1,300%,” said Griffin. We’re still awaiting word if the FBI has any information on possible alliances between China and the moon’s infamous resident warmonger, Marvin the Martian.

Beijing citizens criticize Covid surveillance devices

Collecting data every five minutes.

Some residents of Beijing are pushing back against a Covid tracking device they are required to wear on their wristbands. Anyone returning to Tiantongyuan, a residential district in northern Beijing, is required to wear the device all day for seven days.

The device records someone’s temperature every five minutes. According to China Daily, the device’s corresponding app has access to the phone’s microphone, location, and camera.

Those forced to wear the device have raised concerns about how it monitors the location and what is done with the data collected. The development of the device was a collaboration between the government and Beijing Microchip Sensing Technology, which is backed by China’s tech giant Tencent.

One of the people that received the wristband was Dahongmao, a tech blogger who shared his experience with the device on social media.

“If this bracelet can connect to the internet, it definitely can record my movements and it’s almost like wearing electronic handcuffs. I don’t want to wear it,” he said.

“The issuer said it’s a requirement from higher up and that I shouldn’t make it difficult for her. I said I would not want to make it difficult for her but she could tell those above her that I won’t wear it. If you insist that I wear it, you’ll have to come up with the documents that prove that it’s a Beijing government requirement and that this is not some unlicensed company trying to make a profit.”

China Daily and South China Morning Post were separately told by a Beijing COVID-19 hotline that the use of the devices was at the discretion of the residential community.

Earlier this week, Hong Kong announced it would roll out tracking bracelets to enforce its mandatory one-week home isolation.

A Guide To China’s Increasingly Impressive Air-To-Air Missile Inventory

China has made very impressive progress in its air-to-air missile development, but these weapons remain relatively obscure in the West.

The rapid pace of development across China’s military aircraft scene has been well documented, with Western observers keenly awaiting new designs and variants of existing ones, while manufacturing plants keep up a seemingly relentless pace of deliveries. What’s been less well covered, however, is the domestic production of air-launched weapons to arm these aircraft. For many years, Chinese progress in air-to-air missiles, or AAMs, in particular, was overlooked or achievements downplayed.

Is Xi Jinping under house arrest?

Beijing Airport canceled more than 6,000 domestic flights and international flights. Also, all tickets sold by the high-speed rail are suspended, and the rail is completely stopped until further notice.

For the last two years, there was no place like home for Chinese President Xi Jinping. He had not moved out of his home in Beijing and was not meeting any world leader, not even any prominent CCP leader.

However, on September 14th, the tyrant leader finally moved out of his home for an SCO meeting in Samarkand, Uzbekistan. After a hiatus of two years, Xi departed for Central Asia by a special flight and attended the 22nd Summit of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).

But, despite being the founding member of SCO, the Chinese leader did not actively participate in the summit. He didn’t give any memorable speech at the inauguration of the summit, nor did he meet Vladimir Putin, Narendra Modi, or any other major leader of the group on the sidelines of the summit.

Furthermore, he didn’t have an informal dinner with his bonhomie Putin due to “COVID-19 concerns”. It was later discovered that Xi had troubledly left for Beijing before the official winding up of the SCO Summit. Maybe he was worried and afraid about something huge and sinister.

Now, the reports coming out of Beijing could rock the world. Global media has no idea what is going on with Xi Jinping at his home. Honestly, at this point those who want the tyrant to remain in power should forget about his third term; it appears that CCP veterans have already crushed his lust for power.

Chinese netizens have stormed Social Media timelines with reports that Beijing is under military seizure. The world, though, has no idea of what’s happening because the city is eventually cut off from the world.

According to News Highland Vision, former Chinese President, Hu Jintao and former Chinese Premier, Wen Jiabao had persuaded Song Ping, the former member of the Standing Committee and retaken control of the Central Guard Bureau (CGB).

For those who don’t know, the purpose of CGB is to provide close personnel protection to members of the Politburo Standing Committee and other CCP leaders. The committee is also responsible for the protection of Xi Jinping.

As Hu and Wen retook control of CGB, information was conveyed to Jiang Zeng and the Central Committee members in Beijing via telephone. The original standing committee members abolished Xi’s military authority at that very moment.

Xi returned to Beijing on the evening of 16th September after learning the truth. However, Xi Jinping was detained at the airport and most probably is currently being held under house arrest in Zhongnanhai’s house.

A roadmap was already prepared

The current situation is being controlled by Hu Jintao. If the reports are believed to be true, this is one of the biggest happenings in China after the Chinese Virus outbreak in 2019. For the last ten days, political meetings are taking place behind the closed doors and in utter secrecy. Here is the comprehensive information of those last ten days:

On September 8th, the reform meeting of the finalizing committee was chaired by two vice-chairmen. The chairman of the operations, who is a loyalist to Xi, was removed from the meeting. Commander Li Qiaoming sat in the middle of the first row under the stage to participate in the meeting. Li Qiaoming, a General of PLA had already made his mind that he would no longer accept the diktats of the Chinese President.

Now as Xi was out in Samarkand, Hu and Wen met Song Ping and persuaded him to turn rogue against Xi Jinping, who is about to go for his third term in power. Ping agreed to do so and then, Xi was detained by his own CGB guards.

The former CCP leaders foresaw that Xi Jinping’s loyalists would undoubtedly use aggression to topple Xi Jinping house arrest. Here, Li Qiaoming entered the scene. Qiaoming now has turned Beijing into a military fort. A large 80km convoy entered Beijing and closed all possible exits of the city. According to the source, the PLA is blocking highways and is currently said to be detaining protesters.

As the political unrest in Beijing was made known to Russian intelligence, Russian energy giant Gazprom momentarily halted gas flow through the Power of Siberia pipeline that sent Russian gas to China. Though Russia justified the cut as “scheduled maintenance work,” one can predict clearly that it was done to support Xi Jinping by making the protests uglier.

Time to Open up says Rebel CCP!

Moreover, the netizens on Social Media have reported that over the last two days, Beijing airport canceled more than 6,000 domestic flights and international flights. Also, all tickets sold by the high-speed rail are suspended, and the rail is completely put out of function until further notice. Hours later, Chinese Civil Aviation notified airlines with Boeing MAX aircraft to resume their service.

Now, let’s look at what happened yesterday. National defense was discussed at a Military Commission meeting yesterday. What remarkable here is the presence of Shenyang Kang in that meeting, who was fired by Xi Jinping. Li Qiaoming was again seated in the middle of the front row.

The current first elder of the CCP, Song Ping, who is 105 years old, made a prominent appearance at another meeting at Xiaoping Memory Hall and voiced his anti-Xi attitude. Ping demanded that the country undergo changes and opens up. According to him, the CCP should give this the highest priority for the sake of the nation. Almost every known CCP leader was present at the memory hall except for two, Xi Jinping himself and Foreign Minister Wang Yi.

Wang Yi rushes to Kissinger

The most suspicious event recently is Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi’s sudden visit to New York. He met with Henry Kissinger. On September 21, when Song Ping was irking against Xi Jinping, Wang Yi met with the former US secretary of state.

Here, Mr. Wang planned a surprise visit and congratulated Dr. Kissinger on his upcoming 100th birthday, calling him an old and good friend of the Chinese people. Kissinger is close to veteran CCP members and he made historic contributions to the establishment and development of China-United States relations. Doesn’t this sudden meeting raise questions about the real purpose behind it?

Though, nothing is coming out in open, and no such discussions are available on Weibo. However, based on Xi’s behavior over the past two years, it appears likely that Xi has always had an idea that CCP veterans are against him. The veterans had been urging Xi to modify his strict demeanor. But, Xi’s hunger for power was unquestionably standing in the way.

If these reports are accurate we can say that Xi’s tenure has come to a dead end. When this happens, Hu Jintao deserves all the credit for making this possible.

China, on Ukraine, urges respect for ‘territorial integrity of all countries’

China told the United Nations Security Council on Tuesday that “territorial integrity” should be respected after Moscow held controversial annexation referendums in Russia-occupied regions of Ukraine.

“Our position and proposition on how to view and handle the Ukraine issue is consistent and clear: That is, the sovereignty and territorial integrity of all countries should be respected,” said ambassador Zhang Jun, whose government in Beijing is sometimes seen by the West as being too accommodating with Russia.

Xi Appears in Public, Dispelling Rumors of Unrest and Coup in China

Chinese communist leader Xi Jinping made his first public appearance in nearly two weeks, terminating an absence that fueled a storm of unsubstantiated rumors regarding his whereabouts.

Xi, who leads China as general secretary of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), visited an exhibition in Beijing on Sept. 27, according to Chinese state-owned media.

The event was Xi’s first public appearance since returning to China from a summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in Uzbekistan earlier in the month.

Xi had met with Russian President Vladimir Putin, an unofficial ally, during that summit. The two leaders reaffirmed their nations’ support for one another in the face of mounting resistance from the West regarding China’s plans for Taiwan and Russia’s war in Ukraine.

“The Chinese side is willing to work with the Russian side to continuously implement high-level strategic cooperation between the two countries, safeguard common interests, and promote the development of the international order in a more just and reasonable direction,” said CCP Politburo member Yang Jiechi in the lead-up to the meeting.

The trip was also Xi’s first excursion out of China since the COVID-19 pandemic began two years ago, and his subsequent disappearance upon returning to China spurred a maelstrom of rumors online.

Numerous Indian news outlets and pundits published unsubstantiated claims that Xi had been deposed by the Chinese military and placed under house arrest over the weekend. By Sept. 24, “Xi” was a top-trending topic on Twitter. His name appeared on hashtags more than 42,000 times, and the term “China coup” circulated more than 9,300 times.

Author and China expert Gordon Chang said that, despite the unsubstantiated nature of the claims, the unusual nature of Xi’s disappearance and continued irregularities in travel schedules within China pointed to some sort of intrigue within the upper echelons of CCP leadership.

“The lack of news from China over the last few hours suggests coup rumors are untrue, but whatever happened inside the Chinese military during the last three days—evidently something unusual occurred—tells us there is turbulence inside the senior CCP leadership,” Chang said in a tweet.

However, veteran journalist and China watcher Bill Gertz suggested that the misinformation could be a ploy designed to be used by intelligence agencies in China or elsewhere to monitor nations’ crisis response protocols.

“Setting off rumors of a coup against Xi Jinping in China would be an excellent way for an electronic spy service, E[ast] or W[est], to collect valuable intel on various governments’ crisis communications,” Gertz said in a tweet. “I bet watch teams are lit up tonight.”

Xi is expected to secure an unprecedented third term as CCP leader during the Party’s five-year congress in October.
