Biden Encourages Finland & Sweden's Move Into NATO As Russia Cuts Electricity Supply Overnight

In a Friday phone call President Joe Biden expressed his direct support to the leaders of Finland and Sweden in their bid to join the North Atlantic Treaty Organization.

Speaking with Prime Minister Magdalena Andersson of Sweden and President Sauli Niinistö of Finland in the joint call, the US president "underscored his support for NATO’s Open Door policy and for the right of Finland and Sweden to decide their own future, foreign policy, and security arrangements," according to a call read-out.

Finland, Sweden submit NATO membership application

NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg said Wednesday that Finland, Sweden have officially applied to join the world’s biggest military alliance, a move driven by security concerns over Russia’s war in Ukraine.

“I warmly welcome the requests by Finland and Sweden to join NATO. You are our closest partners,” Stoltenberg told reporters after a receiving their application letters from the two Nordic countries’ ambassadors.

The application must now be weighed by the 30 member countries. That process is expected to take about two weeks, although Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has expressed reservations about Finland and Sweden joining.

If his objections are overcome, and accession talks go as well as expected, the two could become members within a few months. The process usually takes eight to 12 months, but NATO wants to move quickly given the threat from Russia hanging over the Nordic countries’ heads.

In a first, Russian forces fire anti-aircraft missiles at Israeli fighter jets in Syria

Russian forces reportedly fired S-300 anti-aircraft missiles at Israeli Air Force jets for the first time during airstrikes in northwestern Syria on Friday night, according to Israel's Channel 13.

The Syrian military reportedly also used its air defense system to fire anti-aircraft missiles at the IAF jets.

The anti-aircraft missiles missed their targets because their radar reportedly did not manage to lock onto the Israeli jets in time. But the incident, if confirmed, could signal a dangerous shift in Russia’s policy toward Israel in Syria and a potential threat to Israel’s future bombing campaigns in the country.

Mitchell Henderson - The Russians do not think about nuclear war in the same way as we do.

The World At The Brink
https://mediaarchives.gsradio.net/rense/special/rense_051722_hr2.mp3

In the USA nuclear war is considered unwinnable so it is not fully integrated into its military doctrine. But in Russian military doctrine, nuclear war IS on the table. Mitchell Henderson says that they have integrated the potential use of nuclear weapons at ALL levels of war including conventional warfare.

Victory is Always the Goal of War

Russian and Chinese military doctrines rely on willingness to sacrifice millions of their own citizens, for the sake of victory. Their generals obviously have to consider the possibility of war with the Western nations. Russia and China have to work with the understanding of their specific conditions, and their conditions dictate that a victory means using nuclear weapons, since using only conventional weapons is unlikely to result in a quick and decisive victory. The overall propensity of Eastern weapons' systems to use fewer electronics; the high probability of using nuclear weapons on the tactical level; and the fielding of direct-energy weapons; give Eastern militaries an advantage over the Western nations. Russian military doctrine is very explicit about using nuclear weapons. Russian weapons' systems (which are typically copied by China) are designed for nuclear war, which means relying as little as possible on electronics, because of the EMP-effect of nuclear weapons. Western weapons' and logistics' systems have become increasingly dependent on electronics, since the end of the Cold War, making them more vulnerable to nuclear and direct-energy weapons. Russia is also actively fielding weapons designed to specifically target electronics, like those used to disable the USS Donald Cook. The military advantage afforded to Russia and China by using nuclear weapons; combined with the fact that these nations have already decided the human costs of such a war to be acceptable; mean that the risk of nuclear confrontation, in response to Western aggression, is increasing.

Russia ‘sends a message’ with first missile attack on Israeli jets in Syrian war, expert says

https://www.thetruthseeker.co.uk/?p=253818

A Russian counter-attack on Israeli forces in Syria has raised fears of a potential escalation to the conflict, with experts fearing a similar provocation “within days”.

This week, Russia launched missiles on Israeli jets that had flown over Syria and struck targets north of Damascus. Several casualties were reported and the Syrian army returned fire from anti-aircraft systems.

Israel has launched hundreds of similar missions since the beginning of Syria’s civil war in 2011, often targeting adversaries Iran and Hezbollah which have established a presence in the country and facing down Syrian air defences.

However on this occasion, the retreating Israeli pilots were targeted by missiles from a Russian S-300 anti-aircraft system under the operational control of Russian officers, Israel’s Channel 13 reported. None of the missiles hit their targets.

Israel’s military maintains a policy of ambiguity over its operations in Syria, and would not comment on the report. But it was corroborated by defence correspondents at several leading Israeli outlets with close ties to the military establishment. Russia’s Ministry of Defence did not comment on the reports.

The incident marks the first known occasion that an Israeli strike has met with a response from Russian anti-aircraft systems – raising fears Russia could assert a more aggressive stance in Syria – even as it remains militarily bogged down in Ukraine.

“It’s quite obvious that the Russians don’t like the fact that we are operating in Syria,” says Channel 13 Defence Correspondent Alon Ben-David, who broke the story. “My interpretation is that the Russians are saying ‘you are walking on thin ice. Be careful, we are running out of patience.’”

United States will deploy THOUSANDS of troops in the Northern Territory after Australia admitted war with China IS possible

by tts-admin | Mar 17, 2022 |

  • US Army servicemen will be deployed in the Northern Territory for the first time
  • They will join a rotational force of more than 200 US Marines by September
  • Comes after Australia signed historic AUKUS pact with America and Britain
  • Beijing has fumed at the new alliance, with state media warning of nukes

Levi Parsons – Daily Mail March 16, 2022

U.S. Marines with Amphibious Assault Vehicles (AAV) take a part in a landing operation during a military Exercise Baltops 2018.

Thousands of American soldiers trained to use surface-to-air missile systems, High Mobility Artillery Rockets and unmanned aircraft are bound for Australia as tensions grow with China.

The rotational US Marine force of about 2200 servicemen and women will be based in the Northern Territory during the upcoming dry season from September.

It is the 11th deployment to the Top End and for the first time will include 250 US Army personnel, the Australian Defence Force announced.

The contingent is part of an ongoing US initiative in the Indo-Pacific region to prepare for a possible Chinese invasion of Taiwan in coming years.

Defence Minister Peter Dutton in September warned conflict with China ‘shouldn’t be discounted’ and on Wednesday told the US Studies Centre Beijing may look to annex Taiwan while the world is preoccupied with Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

The marine deployment will complement that Enhanced Air Co-operation program between the Royal Australian Air Force and United States Air Force.

About 1000 Marines have already landed in Darwin.

They will train with the ADF to ensure they are able to respond to crises in the region.

That could include humanitarian assistance, disaster relief, evacuation missions, and reinforcing US embassies or military operations.

Darwin’s location just south of more than a dozen Asian countries and some of the world’s busiest shipping lanes makes it a strategic stepping-off point.

The training will include live-fire military exercises to improve cohesion between Australian and US forces and those of other regional allies.

Commander of the ADF’s northern force Colonel Marcus Constable said the US alliance was Australia’s most important defence relationship and central to the nation’s security plan

Biden Promises to Keep ‘Commitment’ to Defend Taiwan in Case of Attack by China

U.S. President Joe Biden reiterated his country’s support for Taiwan, saying on Monday that his administration is willing to defend Taiwan with force if there is an attack by China’s communist party (CCP) on the mainland.

When a reporter asked whether Biden would be “willing to get involved militarily to defend Taiwan if it comes to that?” during the May 23 press conference in Tokyo, he replied with a flat “Yes.”

China stockpiling FOOD in preparation for GLOBAL WAR

It seems rather hypocritical for Israel to justify its bombing runs on Syria on controlling the expansion of "Iran's" military expansion in Syria (we have to take Israel's word for it - THEY control the news we read), whilst Russia openly has provided military assistance, and is now firing on Israel's un-Lawful air-strikes in Syria, which (Syria) doesn't launch counter strikes on Israel, but Israel DOESN'T militarily strike on Russian assets(?).

More evidence that we don't receive the whole story, only propaganda to keep us confused?

Both Israel and Russia are pro-China's Belt and Road Initiative. Paradox.

Either way this appears to be nothing more than another step towards the Battle of Armageddon. War is all about logistics and domination (control).

That was interesting. Thank-you.

YT has some interesting videos.

As able, I am posting some of these YT videos on my BitChute and Rumble channels. Those platforms have guidelines as well. My first Rumble channel was terminated by Rumble, but by no fault / censorship on their part. My second and current Rumble channel is on watch due to 2 strikes as well; a misunderstanding. It was my fault. I take full responsibility for that first account being deleted; hopefully, it will not happen again; trying to be careful to avoid further strikes.

Taiwan jets scramble as China air force enters air defence zone

Taiwan on Monday reported the largest incursion since January by China's air force in its air defence zone, with the island's defence ministry saying Taiwanese fighters scrambled to warn away 30 aircraft in the latest uptick in tensions.

Taiwan, which China claims as its own territory, has complained for the past two years or so of repeated missions by China's air force near the democratically governed island, often in the southwestern part of its air defence identification zone, or ADIZ, close to the Taiwan-controlled Pratas Islands.

Taiwan calls China's repeated nearby military activities "grey zone" warfare, designed to both wear out Taiwan's forces by making them repeatedly scramble, and also to test Taiwan's responses.

The latest Chinese mission included 22 fighters, as well as electronic warfare, early warning and antisubmarine aircraft, the Taiwan ministry said.

The aircraft flew in an area to the northeast of the Pratas, according to a map the ministry provided, though far from Taiwan itself.

Taiwan sent combat aircraft to warn away the Chinese aircraft, while missile systems were deployed to monitor them, the ministry said.

It was the largest incursion since Taiwan reported 39 Chinese aircraft in its ADIZ on Jan. 23.

There was no immediate comment from China, which has in the past said such moves were drills aimed at protecting the country's sovereignty.

China's military said last week it had recently conducted an exercise around Taiwan as a "solemn warning" against its "collusion" with the United States.

That came after U.S. President Joe Biden angered China by appearing to signal a change in a U.S. policy of "strategic ambiguity" on Taiwan by saying the United States would get involved militarily if China were to attack the island.

China has stepped up pressure on Taiwan to accept its sovereignty claims. Taiwan's government says it wants peace but will defend itself if attacked.

No shots have been fired and the Chinese aircraft have not been flying in Taiwan's air space, but in its ADIZ, a broader area Taiwan monitors and patrols that acts to give it more time to respond to any threats.
