People here who live in England may know who Paddy Conroy is.
In the 80’s he was on the run in Spain having escaped incarceration back in England.
Later he was cleared of the charge.
The Spanish police had caught up with him and while he was in a foreign jail it was announce on Gibraltar radio and repeated on the prison radio that Paddy was a very dangerous rapist…..
They had mistakenly misinterpreted
“escapist”.
