Spanish robotics company trials new technology on the Rock

A Spanish company specialising in robotics is trialling some of its new technology in Gibraltar.

Madrid-based Marsi Bionics has developed rehabilitative and therapeutic equipment such as a paediatric exoskeleton designed for children with neurological conditions and neuromuscular diseases, and a powered knee orthosis for patients who benefit from assisted walking.

We spoke to co-founder Ignacio Barraqué, who explained how the orthosis reacts in real time to different surfaces to facilitate movement.
