UK tourists in Spain have been warned over a new "daily charge" for holidaymakers. Spain has launched a fresh attack on UK holidaymakers' wallets and purses, by introducing a brand-new daily surcharge for some amid the Cost of Living crisis.
Brits heading abroad for a holiday in Spain - be it the Balearic Islands or mainland - have been warned. It has been reported that tourists will now be charged £3 a day in Catalonia and the Balearic Islands.
Other spots in Spain might do the same thing soon, especially with lots of people wanting to visit in the spring and summer, reports Birmingham Live.MSN
The mayor of Malaga, Francisco de la Torre, thinks it's a good idea. He said: "I have always declared myself in favour of it.
"[A tourist tax] may be reasonable]."
