Russia s crippling the nation and forcing this war to become an on the ground fight ware Russia will have the advantage in the fight. Russian soldiers since world war too have been used to fighting on the ground in heavy gun fire rifle fights, no doubt this is Russian best tactic for fighting. Its also said much of metals and foods come from Ukraine that arrive in western countries and this will be a severe impact on that supply line. Russia is just begun to truly fight with the 300,000 man draft they recently called, showing that Putin is interested in fighting western nation first settling old scores with Ukraine. Meanwhile the American draft is already being placed into action, ware men and women are going to be sent to war to fight so the military industrial complex with make a lot of money because war always is good for profit.

US public policy analyst Jeffrey Sachs has again broken with the West’s narrative on the Russia-Ukraine conflict, arguing that President Joe Biden’s administration must order Kiev to stop shelling Europe’s largest nuclear power plant and falsely blaming Russia for the strikes.

“It’s almost surely Ukraine shelling the power plant, and we can’t bring ourselves to express a simple truth,” Sachs said on Sunday in the Grayzone podcast. “That hurts because they continue to shell the power plant with impunity.”

Sachs, an award-winning economist who became notorious in Russia for masterminding the “shock therapy” reforms in the 1990s, noted that Western media outlets have pretended to have no idea who’s shelling the Zaporozhye nuclear plant even though it’s been under Russian control since March. “They can’t put one and one together to say, well, if Russia’s in control of the plant, maybe they’re not shelling their own plant. Maybe it’s Ukraine shelling the plant.”

The analyst lamented that US officials can’t even find the words to tell Kiev not to shell a nuclear power plant, despite the potential catastrophe that could result. He argued that Washington has given Ukraine’s government free rein to provoke Russia and escalate the conflict.

Jeffrey Sachs end Ukraine proxy war or face armageddon

“That’s the problem because we’re kind of faking the whole thing, as if this isn’t a US-Russia thing,” said Sachs, who’s also president of the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network. He added, “This is a war between Russia and the United States. The US does not have that many people on the ground – we don’t really know who is on the ground from the US in Ukraine – but a lot of weapons, finance, intelligence. The US is fighting this war, and this is quite clear.”

Continues at the link.

This is insane the American government must actually believe that this war is for their good and that they will win the war. Russia has nuclear bombs and they are not afraid to use them, America keeps provoking Russia to war and the American population has no idea. These are too nuclear super powers at war with each other, situations like this do not end well, how much is it going to take for the American people to wake up to what is happening.

Russia says eight suspects detained over Crimea bridge blast

Russia has detained eight suspects over the deadly explosion of the bridge linking annexed Crimea to Russia, the FSB security service said in a statement quoted by news agencies on Wednesday.

The suspects include five Russians and “three Ukrainian and Armenian citizens”, it said, without providing more details.

“The explosives were hidden in 22 plastic film rolls weighing 22,770 kilograms (50,200 pounds),” it said.

The rolls left on a boat in August from the Ukrainian port of Odessa to Bulgaria. They then transited through the port of Poti in Georgia, then sent overland to Armenia before arriving by road in Russia, according to the FSB.

The explosives entered Russia on October 4 in a truck with Georgian license plates and reached the region of Krasnodar on October 6, two days before the blasts, the FSB said.

The “terrorist attack” was organised by Ukrainian secret services, with a Kyiv agent having coordinated the transit of the explosives, according to the FSB.

On Saturday, a blast ripped through the road and rail bridge connecting Crimea to Russia, killing three people, causing damage and igniting a massive fire.

The bridge is logistically crucial for Moscow — a vital transport link for moving military equipment to Russian soldiers fighting in Ukraine.

It is also hugely symbolic, with President Vladimir Putin having personally inaugurated the structure in 2018.

The blast sparked celebrations from Ukrainians. Russia blamed the explosion on Kyiv on Sunday and on Monday launched missile attacks across Ukraine, killing at least 19 people and wounding more than 100.

On Monday Russian President Vladimir Putin said Russia’s response to any further Ukrainian attacks would be “severe”.

– FSB claims foiled attack –

In separate statements carried by Russian news agencies, the FSB also said it had foiled two attempted attacks allegedly planned by Kyiv on Russian territory: one near the capital Moscow and another in a city close to the border with Ukraine.

The FSB said it arrested a Ukrainian suspected of preparing to use a portable missile launcher for “sabotage and terrorist attacks” in the Moscow region.

It said the suspect, a citizen of Ukraine born in 1972, brought Igla missile launchers inside a secret compartment of a car, driving from Kyiv to Russia via Estonia.

The FSB said it had confiscated “means of communication” that confirm the suspect’s contact with Ukraine’s special services.

The FSB said it also detained another Ukrainian, born in 1967, accused of organising an attack with explosives against a “transport-logistics hub” in Bryansk.

It said the suspect arrived in Russia via Estonia to one of the border regions of Russia, where he picked up a cache with components of explosive devices “prepared by Ukrainian special services”.

The suspect then allegedly conducted reconnaissance at a warehouse of a transport and logistics company in order to plant an improvised explosive device and carry out a “high-power explosion”, according to the FSB.

The FSB claimed both suspects have admitted their guilt and are cooperating with investigators.

United Nations condemns Russia's move to annex parts of Ukraine

The United Nations General Assembly on Wednesday overwhelmingly condemned Russia's "attempted illegal annexation" of four partially occupied regions in Ukraine and called on all countries not to recognize the move, reinforcing a diplomatic international isolation of Moscow since it invaded its neighbor.

Three-quarters of the 193-member General Assembly - 143 countries - voted in favor of a resolution that also reaffirmed the sovereignty, independence, unity and territorial integrity of Ukraine within its internationally recognized borders.

Only 4 countries joined Russia in voting against the resolution - Syria, Nicaragua, North Korea and Belarus. Another 35 countries abstained from the vote, including Russia's strategic partner China, while the rest did not vote.

There Are Clues That Indicate Russia Could Be Preparing A Surprise Lightning Strike To Take Kiev

Is the war in Ukraine about to pass the point of no return? When Russia announced that it would be mobilizing large numbers of troops, a lot of people assumed that those troops would be sent to bolster existing defensive lines. But it appears that may not be necessary. The Ukrainian counter-offensives have mostly petered out at this point, and the Russians have even taken some new territory in recent days near Bakhmut. In order to make the gains that they did in September, the Ukrainians were forced to sacrifice a staggering amount of personnel and vehicles, and now their forces are over-extended and exhausted.

It would actually be a perfect time for the Russians to launch a surprise assault behind the existing battle lines, and that may be exactly what they are planning to do.

In fact, the Russians may actually be planning a lightning strike to take Kiev while most of Ukraine’s forces are occupied on the southern and eastern fronts.

Russia Foils Attack On Turkstream Pipeline, Saboteurs Arrested

by tts-admin | Oct 14, 2022 (Russia Foils Attack On Turkstream Pipeline, Saboteurs Arrested | The Truthseeker)

Tyler Durden – Zero Hedge Oct 13, 2022

The Interfax news agency cited a report from the Kremlin about a “foiled attack” on a major natural gas pipeline from Russia to Turkey called the TurkStream,
according to Reuters.

The Kremlin said several people were arrested Thursday during an attempt to sabotage the pipeline that links Russia to Turkey and Southern Europe. The pipeline has a capacity of 31.5 billion cubic meters per year and was launched in early 2020.

“Certain forces … have already made an attempt on TurkStream. The saboteurs have been caught, and several people have been arrested. They wanted to blow it up. On our territory, on soil, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.

Peskov’s comments come as Russia plans to transform Turkey into a central hub for Russian NatGas, then re-exporting it through Europe. The spokesman commented about the incident on the sidelines of an international summit in Astana, Kazakhstan.

On Monday, President Vladimir Putin warned that Ukraine was attempting to attack a section of the TurkStream pipeline. This followed the bombing of a bridge linking Russia to the annexed Crimean peninsula last weekend. Putin blamed Ukraine’s intelligence services for the attack.

“It is obvious that the Ukrainian secret services ordered, organized and carried out the terrorist attack aimed at destroying Russia’s critical civilian infrastructure,” Putin said of the Kerch Bridge bombing.

Attacks on critical infrastructure in the European region have increased in recent weeks as it appears these could be spillovers from the war in Ukraine.

Following the sabotage of the Nord Stream, TurkStream remains the only conduit for Russian NatGas to Europe besides the pipelines that pass through Ukraine.
