Regional Government allocates almost €12M for various Social Inclusion programmes

This government assistance reminds me of what was described in Stakeholder Communism on Gibraltar Messenger. #JUSTCOMMUNISM

The delegate of the Government of the Junta de Andalucía in Cádiz; Mercedes Colombo, has presented the aid that the Ministry of Social Inclusion , Youth, Families and Equality has granted to the province of Cádiz for several programs: Residential care for homeless people , subsidies for the financing of Community Social Services and aid to beneficiary entities of the Basic Material assistance program (Wallet Cards program).

Colombo has been accompanied by the territorial delegate for Social Inclusion, Youth, Families and Equality, Alfonso Candón and has specified that the subsidies granted amount to a total of € 11,738,994 million that will revert to the province as a whole and that endorse the commitment of the Junta de Andalucía with disadvantaged families and the most vulnerable people.

Homeless Residential Care Grants

In the first place, the delegate explained that within the subsidies for residential care for homeless people, the Ministry has granted 11.3 million euros for a total of 12 municipalities in Andalusia For the province of Cádiz, three projects worth 2.7 million euros have been approved:

The City Council of Cádiz has received 1,226,637.95 euros, which will be allocated to a new municipal shelter for long/medium stay homeless people.

The City Council of La Línea de la Concepción has received €1,239,669.40 million for the network of comprehensive care resources for homeless people.

The City Council of El Puerto de Santa María has received €249,254.06 million for the residential care center for homeless people El Puerto.

This line of subsidies, financed by European Funds, will allow these three municipalities in the province to launch projects to promote the personal autonomy of homeless people.

Community Social Services Funding

The delegate has cited in second place the Financing of Community Social Services, where the Junta de Andalucía has allocated 6,254,342.49 million euros in the province to finance a total of 16 entities for community social services. Thus, the Andalusian Government consolidates the investment to guarantee the operation of a social network of care for the most vulnerable. It also means consolidating the investment effort made last year and guaranteeing an essential structure for the implementation of social policies.

In Andalusia, the order of the Ministry of Social Inclusion, Youth, Families and Equality distributes a total of 46.4 million euros among Andalusian local entities, provincial councils and municipalities with more than 20,000 inhabitants. Mercedes Colombo stressed that "with this volume of funding, Andalusia demonstrates its commitment to the strengthening of the network of community social services and to the quality of the public system of social services, through services that favour the inclusion of the most vulnerable groups and sectors of the population, such as children".
