The population of Gibraltar has grown to around 38,000 people, according to preliminary estimates in the 2022 census.

The census is expected to be published in the first half of 2024. Nearly 29,000 of the population are British Gibraltarian.

Just under six thousand are UK nationals, nearly 900 are Spanish, 261 are Moroccan and over two thousand are a mix of other nationalities.

It's a significant rise from the last census in 2012, which revealed a population of 32,000.
