Parliament: No confirmation on continuation of border fluidity measures after EES start date

In Parliament, the Leader of the Opposition questioned the Chief Minister about the status of the negotiations.

Quizzed by Keith Azopardi, Fabian Picardo refrained from confirming whether the current border fluidity arrangements would continue after the implementation of the new Schengen Entry-Exit system.

Mr Picardo also emphasised that setting a November deadline would not serve Gibraltar's interests, but did not indicate when the next high-level meeting might occur.
