On The Right Track: Florida Will Revoke Teacher's Licenses For This...

The Florida Board of Education Policy can reportedly revoke a teacher’s license if they teach gender identity to 5-year-olds.

According to the Daily Caller, the Florida Board of Education unanimously approved a vote among a series of policies addressed on Wednesday. Revoking a teacher’s license is considered a disciplinary measure to be invoked when a teacher teaches gender identity or sexual orientation to 5-year-olds.

In a press release by Tom Grady, State Board of Education Chair, he stated, “Today we joined to uphold the right of parents to raise their children as they best see fit.” “The rules and amendments we approved will support the safety of students and ensure Florida continues to provide high-quality education to every child.”

Republican Governor Ron DeSantis’ Parental Rights in Education Law prohibits lessons from being presented to kindergarten through third-grade on children about sexual orientation and gender identity. Teachers who ignore the law stand to have their licenses suspended or revoked. Rules requiring schools to inform parents if a biological man would have access to and use a woman’s locker room or bathroom were also approved.
