US base evacuated in Syria due to repeated Iraqi resistance strikes

The Hemo base is a vital one for the US occupation forces in Syria, as it is located 4km west of Qamishli Airport, and has recently increased its troop size to 350 troops.

According to Al Mayadeen's correspondent in Syria, US occupation forces have evacuated the Hemo base in the countryside of the city of Qamishli, north of Hasakah, as a result of repeated attacks on this base by Islamic resistance factions in Iraq.

Our correspondent confirmed the arrival of military reinforcements of US troops to Al Sinaa prison in the city of Hasakah, coinciding with a helicopter flight overhead.

The Hemo base is a vital one for the US occupation forces in Syria, as it is located 4km west of Qamishli Airport, and has recently increased its troop size to 350 troops.

The village of Hemo also contains a special training camp for the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) where US forces train SDF militants.

On January 10th, the Iraqi Islamic Resistance announced that it targeted the Hemo base with a missile strike.

The Islamic Resistance in Iraq announced on Saturday that its fighters targeted three US occupation bases in northeastern Syria.

In his speech, he frequently describes Israelis as ā€œNazisā€ and calls on ā€œevery Muslim on the face of the earthā€ to join the war.

ā€œWe believe that it is our jihadist and religious duty to inform the two billion Muslims in the world that the Zionist enemy, over the course of 100 days, destroyed most of the mosques in the Gaza Strip, desecrated, burned and bulldozed those reached by its vehicles on the ground, and stopped the call to prayer and praying in a clear religious war, completing what the religious Zionist gangs started in their war on Al-Aqsa Mosque. This is an ominous sign and destruction for these Nazi killers, as they cannot wage a war against God, and this is affirmed by the text of the Torah, the Bible, and the Qurā€™an.

Arab-language media covered Abu Abeidahā€™s speech extensively, focusing on the red heifer while noting that five red female calves were brought to Israel in September 2022. After the announcement of the arrival of the cows, Hamas reacted almost immediately, warning that the potential Jewish ritual posed a threat to Al Aqsa.

Yemenā€™s Houthis Plan to Close All Three Key Middle Eastern Waterways

Reports: Houthis Plan to Close Three Waterways in the Middle East

Recent reports from Yemen suggest that the Houthi rebels are contemplating a drastic move that could have significant consequences for the entire region. According to an exclusive source in Yemen, the rebel group known as Ansarullah is considering a plan they have dubbed the ā€˜Al-Aqsa Triangleā€™, which involves the closure of three crucial waterways in the Middle East.

This development has raised concerns among international observers, as the closure of these waterways could disrupt global trade and have far-reaching implications for the stability of the region. The three waterways in question are strategically important for maritime transportation, and any disruption to their operations could have severe economic and geopolitical consequences.

The Al-Aqsa Triangle and its Potential Impact

The Al-Aqsa Triangle refers to the plan devised by the Houthis to close three key waterways in the Middle East. While the exact details of the plan are still unclear, its implementation would likely involve the closure of the Bab-el-Mandeb Strait, the Suez Canal, and the Strait of Hormuz.

The Bab-el-Mandeb Strait, located between Yemen and Djibouti, is a crucial passage for ships traveling between the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden. Its closure would disrupt maritime traffic and pose a significant challenge to global trade, as it is an essential route for oil tankers and other cargo vessels.

The Suez Canal, a vital waterway connecting the Mediterranean Sea to the Red Sea, is another target of the Houthiā€™s plan. The closure of this strategic passage would have a profound impact on international shipping and trade, as it is a crucial shortcut for vessels traveling between Europe and Asia.

The third waterway in the Al-Aqsa Triangle is the Strait of Hormuz, located between Iran and Oman. This narrow passage is one of the most critical chokepoints in the global oil trade, with a significant portion of the worldā€™s oil supply passing through it. Any disruption to its operations would have severe consequences for global energy markets and could potentially escalate tensions in the already volatile Middle East.

International Concerns and Reactions

News of the Houthiā€™s plan to close the three waterways has sparked concern among international stakeholders. Maritime security experts and analysts are closely monitoring the situation, assessing the potential impact of such a move on global trade and regional stability.

The international community has called for restraint and a peaceful resolution to the ongoing conflict in Yemen. The closure of these vital waterways would only exacerbate the already dire humanitarian situation in the country, affecting millions of people who rely on the import and export of goods for their survival.

Efforts are underway to engage with the Houthi rebels and find a diplomatic solution to the crisis. The closure of the waterways would not only affect Yemen but also have ripple effects around the world, making it imperative for all parties involved to seek a peaceful resolution.

In Conclusion

The potential closure of three crucial waterways in the Middle East by the Houthi rebels has raised alarm bells among international observers. The strategic importance of these waterways for global trade cannot be overstated, and any disruption to their operations could have severe economic and geopolitical consequences.

It is essential for the international community to engage with all parties involved in the Yemeni conflict and work towards a peaceful resolution. The closure of these waterways would not only impact Yemen but also have far-reaching implications for the stability of the entire region. Finding a diplomatic solution is crucial to avoid further escalation and ensure the well-being of the people affected by the conflict.

The United States Navy Essentially Lost A Battle At Sea This Week

On Wednesday the US Navy attempted to escort two US owned and flagged container carriers through the Bab el-Mandeb Strait into the Red Sea, but they turned around after coming under Houthi ballistic missile fire. A we detailed earlier, two contradictory narratives soon emerged: namely the Houthis said they scored a direct hit on one of the US ships, while the Pentagon flatly rejected the claim as nonsense. US CENTCOM said the missiles were intercepted, with one falling into the sea. But this has given rise to many more questions than answers, and some analysts are calling the hostile encounter a clear "loss" for the US Navy and the no less than three well-armed warships attempting to keep the commercial vessels safe. The seriousness of the new US war in the Red Sea and with Yemen has been vastly understated and under-covered. The Houthi are doing far more damage than the US and its media acknowledges, all over Israel/Gaza.
