I'll say one more thing about the vaccine.
The Lord healed a friend of mine, took that poison right out of her while she was standing right in front of me. She lost consciousness for a short while, but i knew what had just happened. He allowed me to know what had happened. I think He wanted me to see it with my own eyes, so that i would be hopeful and not despair, and He may have had other reasons that i am simply unable to guess.
To this day, she doesnt know. I dont think it is my place to tell her. I think he plans to tell her Himself.
So for this and many other reasons, i am actually very hopeful in spite of the apparent horror of the overall situation, with respect to what has been done to our friends and loved ones.
Thank-you @Georgeh for sharing this event. In thinking about it, churches where people line up to be healed came to mind where a healer places his hands on the ill and they are healed. i.e. image of a wheelchair bound person getting up and walking is one example. I've never attended such a thing, but that picture came to mind. Following that I was reminded of the Verses in the Gospel according to Matthew where the faith of the centurion was so great as Jesus explained:
Matthew 8:5 And when Jesus was entered into Capernaum, there came unto him a centurion, beseeching him,
8:6 And saying, Lord, my servant lieth at home sick of the palsy, grievously tormented.
8:7 And Jesus saith unto him, I will come and heal him.
8:8 The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed.
8:9 For I am a man under authority, having soldiers under me: and I say to this [man], Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth [it].
8:10 When Jesus heard [it], he marvelled, and said to them that followed, Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.
8:11 And I say unto you, That many shall come from the East and West, and shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in The Kingdom of heaven.
8:12 But many of the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
8:13 And Jesus said unto the centurion, Go thy way; and as thou hast believed, [so] be it done unto thee. And his servant was healed in the selfsame hour. King of kings' Bible - Matthew
To avoid misunderstanding (not necessarily from you @Georgeh), I would like to clarify that not only have I not attended such healing places, I've been wary of them as they are reportedly, even notoriously, riddled with charlatans. There may be genuine people of faith in some of those places. It was included in my reply because that is what came to mind at first. The Bible Verse explains all that is needed to know about Healing. Thank-you again @Georgeh for all that you share.
Thank you ND.
I have not attended any of the church events as you describe. Nor do i believe in much of that, as so much of it is charlatans putting on a show, i just assume that is the case anymore.
This was different. She is an old friend, but not even someone who is extremely close to me. An old but brief relationship that didnt last, but i still care about her.
Anyway, she came to visit out of the blue, so to speak, and i hadnt seen her in a couple of years.
So we started talking and she explained that she had taken the vaccine to go on a cruise, and she clearly stated that she thought she had made a mistake and regretted taking it.
I was heartbroken when i heard she had taken it, and was praying for her silently as we were talking.
Suddenly, she just froze like a deer in the headlights, eyes wide just staring at me but not really seeing me i think. Then she started to black out on her feet and she reached out across the table to grab my hand. Then she just slowly began to slump down onto the floor. I couldnt break her fall completely as i had to let go of her hand to go around the table.
I put a pillow undef her head and watched over her for maybe 15 minutes or so, and she slowly came back to awareness and asked me what had just happened. She had no idea.
I knew what had happened, it was just given to me to know. What happened had nothing to do with me personally, and she was already starting to black out when i touched her hand. So this event occurred, or began, without any physical contact and really had nothing to do with me, except that i was praying.
I think He wanted her to be someplace safe for that, and also i feel that he wanted me to know that the vaccine is no obstacle whatsoever for Him. I suspect that also He wanted to ease my mind, as i had gone to great effort to reach(warn) my exwife and daughter, but with very little success. Im just a man, and an exhusband, so what do i know right? I was pretty upset over that.
He will protect His own, as i have seen firsthand.
There are many christians on the internet claiming that those who took the vaccine are simply finished, done for and cannot repent.
I think these people are making a terrible mistake and they underestimate the power of God, and His mercy.
Now it may be the case that many of them do not repent, and this appears to be a matter of pride as they are simply unable to admit that they were fooled or that they made a terrible mistake.
But I have very good reason to believe that the ones He calls His, are going to be just fine, so i no longer worry over these things.
I hope this is useful to someone.
