Mega-Drought & Mega Food Shortages

IRAN: Digital Food Rationing rolls out using Biometric IDs amid food riots

by Ice Age Farmer | May 17, 2022 | Podcast | 0 comments

Iran is set to be the first country to roll out a food rationing scheme based on new biometric IDs. Where vaccine passports failed, food passports will now be eagerly accepted by hungry people who can’t afford rapidly inflating food prices. This is the realization of a longstanding agenda by the Rockefeller/UN/WEF crowd to, as Kissinger put it, “control food, and control people.” Christian breaks it down in this Ice Age Farmer broadcast.

Internet has been cut off there, bread prices are 300% triggering protest and shop fires in Iran where half of 82 million live below poverty line, Government dressing it up with smiley face digital coupons offered to access a limited amount of bread at subsidized prices...buy as much as you want as long as you pay outrageous market rates...this scheme will be enforced in two months...this scheme will later be expanded to include other goods like chicken cheese, vegetable oil...

Why You Should Stockpile Food – Now

Dr Vernon Coleman MB ChB DSc FRSA

Food shortages are coming and the cost of food is going to rise even faster than it has been doing. And it isn’t because of global warming or whatever other lies they tell you – it is however, partly a side effect of the coronavirus scandal; the biggest and most dangerous hoax in history.

All around the world food is in short supply. The price of the world’s most important staple food – rice – has risen by 70%. Food prices in the US have recently seen a historic jump and are destined to stay high and go higher. Countries which have good food production are halting their exports. Vietnam, for example, has stopped exporting because they need their food supplies at home. And you cannot blame them. The authorities condemn it as nationalism but all countries, all villages, all homes would do much the same.

And it is the absurd over-reaction to a bug no more dangerous than the flu that is causing the problem – and that will result in millions of deaths to add to the millions who are going to die as a result of the lockdowns.

The total death rate from the coronavirus is let me remind you yet again just two thirds of the number who would have died of the flu in the same period. And the coronavirus figures have been artificially inflated.

But the global death rate from the side effects – accidental or deliberate – of what I now call the coronavirus scandal is going to be measured in millions.

So, how is the coronavirus scandal responsible for the food shortages that are coming?

That’s easy to explain.

Processing plants and distribution centres all around the world have been severely disrupted by the massive over-reaction to this fairly ordinary virus.

If one worker on a farm or in a warehouse falls ill with flu-like symptoms then the authorities are often closing down the farm or the warehouse. Is this a panic? Or is it being deliberately orchestrated for some hidden reason?

Huge crops of vegetables and fruit are being ploughed into the ground. Millions of animals are being slaughtered and then buried or burnt because the supply chains have been shut down. America, almost unbelievably, is now importing beef because of the shortages there.

The world lockdown, and the mass house arrests that were engineered to keep us all subservient, mean that thousands of farmers cannot get their crops picked. Fruit in particular is likely to rot in the fields and tankers full of milk are poured away. Controls on transport have meant that it has been difficult to move food from where there is a glut to where there is a dearth. It would have been easy for governments to insist that furloughed workers should help pick the crops but they didn’t do so. Or what about all those students locked out of their colleges?

And the unsurprising consequence of all this is that there are going to be massive shortages of fruit and vegetables and so prices are probably going to rocket.

Inevitably, the most toxic of the Remainers, the fascist EU loving lunatics, bigoted, soaked in their own prejudices and consumed by ignorance will blame Brexit for the shortages. If they develop a bald spot or lose their keys they blame Brexit.

Sadly for them, the shortage is global not local to the UK.

All around the world there is a shortage of almost all foods.

And other factors are going to ensure that the shortage just gets worse.

If and when the economy is allowed to stutter into action again, the price of oil will doubtless eventually rise because the existing supplies are diminishing rapidly and most oil companies have pretty well given up exploration.

The rising price of oil will mean that farming and transportation costs will rise and that will also push up the price of food. I know oil is being made all the time but the current crop of oil in preparation won’t be ready for another 50 million years at least and you’ll probably want to eat before then.

I tell you this not to scare you but because when you know something is happening you can do something about it.

You may think it is worthwhile building up your stocks of long-dated food staples such as rice and pasta and bottled water (because that’s going to be in short supply too) and maybe even an extra packet or two of loo rolls. Dried and tinned food with long dates are also good. Governments tell us not to store stuff but the military don’t buy bullets the day they need them, do they? If you have a garden and can grow your favourite vegetables or fruit that’s probably a good idea but watch that no one climbs over your fence and steals them. I don’t recommend having an allotment – the chances of you being able to harvest your own crops are too remote because they will be stolen. It might also be a good idea to stock up on vitamin and mineral supplements.

I rather suspect that we are going to have more alleged virus health calamities coming up. If it isn’t the coronavirus in a pre-ordained second wave it will be something else. If they can make up one crisis then they can, and will, make up many more.

I’ve always been a bit of a contrarian, though I don’t suppose anyone would notice, and I’m convinced that the time to panic buy is when there is no panic.

There are several other explanations for what has already happened and for what is going to turn this into a perfect storm of food shortage. Some of the explanations are short term and some are long term.

The next problem hasn’t received as much publicity, largely because the newspapers and TV and radio stations have been too busy bombarding us with fake news authorised by government propaganda experts to bother with real news.

The problem is locusts.

Plagues of them have been travelling from Arabia into Africa. Most of us tend to think of a swarm of insects as being no more than a few yards across but locusts tend to think rather bigger.

A decent sized swarm of locusts can be as large as London and there can be lots of swarms. That’s pretty scary but even scarier is the fact that a plague of locusts can in two days eat their way through as much food as would keep the whole of the population of the UK going for a day. A swarm can lay around 1,000 eggs per square yard of land. You can imagine what that will do to the world’s food supplies.

Of course, we should be able to rely on the Food and Agriculture Organisation, a United Nations agency which is supposed to control problems like this. The FAO is a bit like the World Health Organisation so that’s nice.

And so now there are swarms of locusts wandering across Africa and each swarm can cover 20 square miles. All the locusts do is breed and eat. When they land on a tree the combined weight will bring down large branches. Africans sometimes panic and fire at the swarms with rockets and anti-aircraft guns but when the enemy is numbered in billions just killing a few thousand doesn’t make a lot of difference.

The FAO is crop spraying with chemicals but unfortunately the locusts seem to have developed immunity. In one area locusts all fell off trees after being sprayed but three days later they all got up, shook themselves and flew away. A small swarm of locusts can strip 100 acres in minutes.

Inevitably, the fake crisis that has been gripping the world has disrupted supplies of the chemicals for spraying and the swarms of locusts are getting bigger and bigger and threatening food supplies in Africa, Arabia and Asia. The economies of those countries affected are going to be destroyed. Food will be scarce and what there is will be unaffordable.

If the West hadn’t been so busy looking at the virus hoax they might have been able to do something to stem the tide of the locusts.

But the locusts are munching away and the farmers are digging their crops into the ground and the food shortages which are coming will be biblical.

Is this why governments everywhere are determined to kill off old people as quickly as they possibly can?

Is one of the many reasons for the coronavirus being exaggerated the desire to close down farms and warehouses and distribution centres – apparently legitimately – when one worker tests positive for the coronavirus, or develops a mild symptom or two?

Maybe the advice here will help those who watch these videos: do a little food stock piling now so that you and your family will have a better chance to be strong and healthy. Countries look after themselves and we all need to do so. It isn’t selfish. It’s survival.

If and when your government finally warns you of this problem it will be far too late.

In my next video on food I will deal with the other factors which are making this problem worse – and which may explain why governments and the people behind them have deliberately exaggerated the coronavirus crisis and have, with no exaggeration, turned it into the biggest scandal in human history.

Major Supermarkets to ban paying with Cash or Card and only accept payments via Digital ID & Facial Recognition Technology

All major supermarkets will very soon no longer accept cash or card payments, and instead, force customers to use their face or fingerprints to pay for essential items, in what is another huge leap toward a dystopian cashless society.

Mastercard recently launched a program for retailers to offer biometric payment methods, like facial recognition and fingerprint scanning. At the checkout, users will be forced to authenticate their payment by showing their face or the palm of their hand instead of being allowed to pay by card or with cash.

The program has already gone live in five St Marche grocery stores in Sao Paulo, Brazil, with more trials also planned for Asia and the Middle East. Mastercard says it plans to roll it out globally later this year.

The payments company wants to roll the programme out worldwide for small and large retailers. Ajay Bhalla, the president of cyber and intelligence at Mastercard, said: “The way we pay needs to keep pace with the way we live, work and do business, offering choice to consumers with the highest levels of security.

“Our goal with this new programme is to make shopping a great experience for consumers and merchants alike, providing the best of both security and convenience.

“All the research that we’ve done has told us that consumers love biometrics”.

Did Mastercard only conduct its market research in China? It certainly sounds like it.

The current spin being used to justify using the biometric payment system and forcing the public to live in a dystopian cashless society is that it will “lead to shorter queues, be more hygienic than tapping in a pin, and be less vulnerable to fraud”.

All the systems of Digital ID and data-gathering are vulnerable to security breaches. The Equifax breach, for example, compromised an astonishing 145.5 million Social Security numbers. Because of the potential for cyber breaches, hacks in the future could even larger and put entire systems at risk.

The rise of artificial intelligence also means that, as data from Digital ID systems is gathered, algorithms are being built that may have a major impact on people. These systems, though, like the data itself, are neither transparent in operation nor clear even as to who or what is building them, and for what purposes.

It may be, in the future, that people will find they no longer have consumer options such as low-cost bank loans due to the decisions of algorithms whose workings are not transparent to the public.

The only way to stop the implementation of this Draconian system is to always pay with cash whilst the use of this new technology remains optional.

@be1 Thanks for keeping up on this thread. Their forced crisis, controlled opposition, forced food shortages, and relentless fear tactics will continue to evolve,(until stopped) into what they think is God's plan. Hardly the case.

Hugo humorously mocks this arrogant puppet.
In this video Hugo brings out how stupid their puppet J.O. is and he's unwittingly being used to mock the public, manipulate them into insane schemes...asking for supermarket deals to be taken away...march in front of Buckingham Palace with food. Total illogical insanity.

China stockpiling FOOD in preparation for GLOBAL WAR

War Within the War: The Fight Over Land and Genetically Engineered Agriculture

By Mitchel Cohen

War within a war

Ten months before Russian troops poured into Ukraine, that country’s President Volodymyr Zelensky signed a bill into law authorizing the private sale of farmland, reversing a moratorium that had been in place since 2001.

An earlier administration in Ukraine had instituted the moratorium in order to halt further privatization of The Commons and small farms, which were being bought up by oligarchs and concentrated in fewer and fewer hands . As documented in a series of critical reports over ten years by the Oakland Institute based in California*,* the moratorium on land sales in Ukraine aimed to prevent the acquisition and consolidation of farmland in the hands of the domestic oligarch class and foreign corporations.

The marketization of farmland is part of a series of policy “reforms” that the International Monetary Fund stipulated as a precondition enabling Ukraine to receive $8 billion in loans from the IMF.

Even amid the pandemic there has been “wide-ranging opposition from the Ukrainian public to reversing that ban, with over 64 percent of the people opposed to the creation of a land market, according to an April 2021 poll.”

Additionally, the IMF loan conditions required that Ukraine must also reverse its ban on genetically engineered crops, and enable private corporations like Monsanto to plant its GMO seeds and spray the fields with Monsanto’s Roundup. In that way, Monsanto hopes to break the boycott by a number of countries in Europe of its genetically engineered corn and soy.

It is the thesis of this essay that agricultural competition over land use between the U.S. and Russia—two gigantic capitalist countries with the most powerful nuclear arsenals in the world—is a neglected but important force driving the war in Ukraine.

The U.S. government has for the last decade wrestled with Russia over who controls the energy pipelines through Ukraine into Europe, and in what currency costs for that so-called “natural” gas and oil are to be paid. At the
same time, the war’s disruption of Ukraine’s wheat harvest and the historic droughts hitting the U.S.’s “wheat belt” have driven the cost of bread around the world through the roof. United Nations officials are making dire predictions concerning the world’s supply of grain.

According to the UN Food and Agriculture Organization, world food commodity prices made a significant leap in March 2022 to reach their highest levels ever, rising 12.6% in that month alone as war in the Black Sea region shocked the markets dependent on staple grains and vegetable oils.[4] Global wheat prices rose by 19.7%, vegetable oil by 23.2%, and grains 20.4%. In Tunisia and in other countries, cooking oil, semolina, and rice have all but disappeared from grocery stores, and flour shortages have led to a run on bakeries.

In the Middle East, millions who already spend more than a third of their income on food, are being hit hardest by the war’s impact on the global food supply. Yet UN agencies have begun to divert sacks of grain that had been earmarked for other war zones to the Ukraine, leaving the people of Yemen and refugees from many areas in desperation.

In peaceful times Ukraine harvests 80 million metric tons (MMT) of grain—a category that includes wheat, corn, barley, rice and millet. Between them Russia and Ukraine supply more than 25% of the world’s wheat. Russia recently overtook the U.S. and Canada to become the leading wheat-exporting country in the world; Ukraine is the world’s 6th largest exporter of wheat.

But this year, Ukraine’s harvest will likely reach less than half the norm. “A single MMT of wheat…is enough to feed every person in Europe for about two days, or the entire population of Africa for about a day and a half.…A country like the UK could only make it up by having everyone stop eating for three years. That’s the thing about tonnes of grain: a million here and a million there and pretty soon you’ve got a real issue on your plate.”

People in France or Italy were never expecting to have any Ukrainian wheat shipped to them at all; but they are now competing against Egyptians and Moroccans, who are now suddenly looking for new sources of bread.

The grains are not only used for bread and flour, but also for alcohol, fuel, and for feeding animals. With more than half the tonnage grown in Ukraine last year never intended to be used for direct human consumption, shortages will impact other parts of the economy too.

The Communist Party of Greece points out that “the military conflict in Ukraine is the result of the sharpening of competition between the two warring camps, primarily focused on spheres of influence, market shares, raw materials, energy plans and transport routes; competition which can no longer be resolved by diplomatic-political means and fragile compromises.”

How much of the predicted food system collapse is a result of the war’s disruption of grain harvests, and—a question few in the U.S. mainstream media are asking—how much are skyrocketing food prices caused by plain old capitalist rivalry between two of the main grain-exporting countries of the world?

Competing systems for growing crops

U.S. agriculture relies on two main inputs: migrant farm labor and the monocropping of genetically engineered corn, soy, and other crops designed to tolerate—and thus be saturated with—Monsanto’s cancer-causing herbicide Roundup. The government’s regulatory process is broken, if it ever worked properly at all: Corporations such as Monsanto, Bayer, Dow, DuPont, Syngenta, Novartis, BASF and the other pesticide and pharmaceutical manufacturers are allowed to mask the truth about the dangers of their products.

They are facilitated in this by the complicity of federal (and global) regulatory agencies, allowing them to intentionally thwart the Precautionary Principle. Where the introduction of a new product or process whose ultimate effects are disputed or unknown, that product or process should be rejected. We need to support the development of international movements opposing the subservience of government agencies to the giant corporations.
