If you had family who had disappeared in Lahaina would you:-
a) think it would be ok for random people to roam around and check out the town, check out your famililes burned down house, take some badass apocalyptic photos, maybe find some awesome loot etc
b) prefer for them to not be let onto the area and let professionals go through the wreckage and investigate and identify corpses?

You only need to google "parts of a forest fire" to find out that the "fire experts" on twitter are not really experts...
The ring seen in Lahaina might have another explanation though, for instance the ring being created by fires along roads/streets and other man made features.

The part that resonated most with me personally (from what he wrote)

Thanks for the advice - actually it was an opinion piece in his usual style - not a fact-checked dose of 100% truth "cybe approved" etc... I never thought he was an expert on fire, he is an artist and scientist (and writer) - you may wish to follow the links I sent to you previously to learn more about him, should you wish or feel inspired to do so.

Impressive due to the amount of work you put into it. Yes - it does appear that Miles could be wrong on quite a few things in this paper and others that he has wrote. I never said he was perfect - I even doubt he would think that about himself also, but I don't know him personally so don't know but he seems to me to come across as someone who is passionate about the truth.
So you do agree with something here then. I also learnt about the extremely wealthy land owners through reading that paper, particularly about Larry Ellison and Oprah (I haven't fact-checked those though) so let's call it to be confirmed (by cybe fact-checking services)
His style is thinking out loud, writing papers whilst he researches and going at pace using his logic and common sense. I find it easy to read and usually very thought provoking and when I have occasionally checked on things he has said in the past have usually found it to be reliable (baring in mind it is often hard to fact check an opinion). He may well have an high opinion of himself too and as you say his art work looks excellent (in my opinion) - why not check out his science site too and the rest of his opinion papers for a broader view (should you wish and feel so inspired)

Are you going to become an information clearing house function for everyone cybe? Should we pile all articles through you first for your approval prior to publishing on this group? If so would that be wise?
