Sir Herbert Miles Road has been closed in the area of Catalan Bay due to a large rock fall.
The boulder landed just outside one of the houses and although the RGP has confirmed no-one was injured, a car parked at the property sustained some damage to the rear left.
Officers are at the location and technical services have said the road, from Monteverde at 8-12 Sir Herbert Miles Road, will be closed for 24 hours.
Dudley Ward Tunnel also remains closed due to repair works resulting from an incident earlier on in the week.
Motorists are asked to avoid the area until the road re-opens.
