Translation:

The municipal delegation of Tourism of the City Council of La Línea de la Concepción (Cádiz) has announced the installation of nine visitor movement sensors in different strategic points of the city in order to collect data and improve the tourist offer.

The installation of motion sensors in La Línea de la Concepción is part of the project 'Tourist Intelligence System of the province of Cádiz', which is funded by European FEDER funds within the framework of the call for Smart Tourist Destinations of Red.es.

This initiative will be launched in all the municipalities of the province for the collection of data through the traceability of mobile devices and using big data, providing a valuable source of information on issues such as tourist activity, visitor origins, itineraries or preferences.

Advances in Smart Tourism Destination

The data collected will serve La Línea de la Concepción to provide a tourist offer adapted to the characteristics, needs and preferences of visitors.

In this way, the municipality continues to advance to achieve its goal of becoming an Intelligent Tourist Destination through the work that is being done from the Tourism delegation and from other municipal departments.
