Tourism officials from La Línea’s delegation began participating on Tuesday, November 5, in the World Travel Market (WTM) in London. This marks the first time in the town’s history that it has been represented at this major global tourism event, thanks to the support of the Provincial Tourism Board of Cádiz.
The council headed by Mercedes Atanet emphasized the significance of La Línea’s presence at this event, which hosts representatives from over five thousand tourism destinations. The growing British tourism interest in La Línea, as well as in the rest of Cádiz province—where British visitors represent the second-largest international tourism market—has made it a priority in Cádiz’s promotional strategy.
The WTM will run from November 5 to November 7 and combines exhibition areas with tourism-focused presentations. La Línea’s participation allows the town to showcase its attractions, such as the Alcaidesa Marina Port, the floating houses managed by Boat Haus Mediterranean, caravan parking facilities, the bunker route, historic fortifications, and beaches.
The local Tourism Department underscores La Línea’s strong presence in international tourism markets and among operators and wholesalers. Their presence at the London fair aims to strengthen the town’s profile and promote its various resources.
