The Principal Auditor has urged Parliament to give serious consideration to the reinstatement of a Public Accounts Committee.
In a report tabled in Parliament, Anthony Sacramento says this would follow best practice in the United Kingdom, the Commonwealth and every prominent state in the western world, to oversee government accounts and ensure transparency and accountability in government financial operations.
The Principal Auditor's comments were highlighted on GBC News by the Shadow Minister for Public Finances Roy Clinton.
