Power outage in Gibraltar caused by contractor going through 3 High Voltage Cables
GibElec's Acting CEO Stanley Antoniou has told GBC, the contractors who cut through the 3 High Voltage Cables today did not have the plans on site with them at the time. He said GibElec provided SDE Limited with the plans before they began the work in connection with the Data Centre project. Speaking to Ros Astengo, Mr Antoniou said stronger legislation was needed to impose hefty fines on contractors as a deterrent. Source: GBC News.
