The Chief Minister announced plans to de-escalate various COVID-19 measures including dropping the legal requirement to wear masks in shops and public transport. In addition, the need to test arrivals at the airport and port.

– Now, as of Friday 4th March, general requirements to wear masks were removed. GHA, ERS and private medical clinics still require masks.

– COVID-19 Permits will no longer be required for nightclubs, restaurants, cafeterias and bars.

– From Friday 18th March, testing will no longer be required for those entering Gibraltar via Gibraltar International Airport. Additionally, Gibraltar Port, and air travellers will no longer be required to submit a Passenger Locator Form.

– From Friday 25th March, unvaccinated close contacts of COVID-19 positive cases will no longer be required to self-isolate.

– COVID-19 positive cases, will have to continue to have to self-isolate. This will also be in line with the established day 6 and day 7 testing regime.

– Strategic changes to Gibraltar’s COVID-19 testing regime will be rolled out. It will begin with increasing the capacity of private service providers

– Second booster doses of the Pfizer COVID vaccine is being offered to those over 60 years of age

– A model of supervised testing will remain in place for health and care staff. Furthermore, this will remain under review.
