TRANSFERRING HOSPITAL PATIENTS FROM GAZA TO EGYPT. WHAT IS THE HOLD UP?
Egyptian Health Minister Khaled Abdel Ghaffar addresses the situation of transferring infants from Gaza’s hospitals to Egypt. Despite Egypt’s preparedness, boasting 37 hospitals and over 11,000 beds, the transfer process is stalled due to required clearances from an unspecified authority. When probed about Israel’s potential role in controlling border access, Ghaffar, whilst non-committal, acknowledges the influence of an external decision-maker. Who might that be?
Breaking: Israel and Hamas declare 4-Day ceasefire; hostage swap to commence
A temporary peace deal has been struck in the Middle East. It involves a hostage swap and humanitarian aid to the Gazan people.
But after four days, Israel is determined to continue its slaughter of civilians, including women and children, to completely eradicate them from the Gaza Strip.
Why can't we have a cease fire that lasts 4 months? Or years? Or decades? We do we, as human beings, have to endure so much death and suffering?
There is now enough convincing data to prove that Israel has repeatedly used depleted uranium weaponry. Such was the case in the large-scale massacre that took place in the Gaza Strip in August 2014.
These weapons cause cancers and foetal malformations in the populations affected, which may take on epidemic proportions. In Iraq, in the city of Fallujah, where these bombs were launched in industrial quantities by the International Coalition led by the United States, 52% of children today are born with deformities.
The lethal effects of radioactivity caused by explosions and subsequent fires, including cancer of the lungs and pleura, can persist for centuries in the environment and particularly in aquifers. We are therefore on the verge of another humanitarian catastrophe in Palestine and in particular in the Gaza Strip, where thousands of tons of depleted uranium bombs were dropped with the effects that have already been documented.
In view of this situation, what is the Vice-President/High Representative thinking of doing to pressure Israel into assuming its responsibilities for this crime against humanity, and what help can the Vice-President/High Representative offer to the Palestinian authorities to carry out epidemiological monitoring, which also includes all EU citizens who have moved to the territory since then?
ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE FOUR-DAY ISRAEL-HAMAS TRUCE
As suspected, it looks like the counterfeit State of Israel is going to end up on top.
THE BIGGER AGENDA BEHIND THE GAZA MASSACRE WITH TODD CALLENDER
Palestinian group says it has agreed to continuation of truce with same conditions, but Israel has not commented.
A deal to extend the current ceasefire between Israel and Hamas by two days has been agreed, according to Hamas and mediators Qatar, after a frantic dash by interlocutors with just over 12 hours remaining before hostilities were due to resume.
Hamas said it had agreed to the extension of the four-day truce by 48 hours after the intervention of Qatar and Egypt, the principal mediators for the initial deal, and with the same conditions.
There was no immediate comment from Israel.
