Former GPF Chairman Maurice Morello says he has served a pre-action letter for defamation on the Commissioner of Police Richard Ullger.
The letter relates to comments reportedly made by Richard Ullger against Maurice Morello publicly, which Mr Morello considers libellous and damaging.
GBC has reached out to the Commissioner for comment. Mr Ullger says he is taking advice from his lawyer, and considers Mr Morello's press release to be false, misleading and itself defamatory.
The fraught relationship between Mr Morello and the RGP’s senior managament was recently evidenced by the public hearings in the McGrail Inquiry.
