Armed Forces Minister, Luke Pollard, arrives in Gibraltar for familiarisation visit

The Armed Forces Minister is visiting the Rock. Luke Pollard arrived Monday afternoon on an RAF plane.

It's not Mr Pollard's first time in Gibraltar, having been invited to last year's National Day celebrations.

As Shadow Armed Forces Minister, he was also a guest at the Government's reception at a Labour Party conference.

He has served as the MP for Plymouth Sutton and Devonport since 2017, and took up the post as Minister following the general election in July.

During his time on the Rock, he will take part in a number of engagements and get to know more about the MoD estate, as well as get to meet troops here.

He will be meeting the Governor as well as Government representatives, including the Deputy Chief Minister, Joseph Garcia.
