The Plenary Session of the Provincial Council this Wednesday saw the unanimous approval, by all political groups, of a proposal from the political group La Línea 100x100, which called for measures to mitigate the negative consequences of Brexit in the locality.
As part of this motion, among other matters, La Línea 100x100 requested "the implementation of the measures outlined in the Plan for the Promotion and Development of La Línea – promoted by the La Línea City Council –, a special fiscal regime, increased participation of La Línea in State taxes and regional government revenues, employment and training plans, investments in infrastructure, and actions to protect La Línea’s coastline from environmental issues caused by activity in Gibraltar."
This was during a plenary session in which the Cádiz Provincial Council demonstrated its unity against gender-based violence by approving a joint manifesto drafted by the Andalusian provincial councils. The session was part of the regular November Plenary, a month that also includes events related to the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women – November 25 – many of which are organised or supported by the Provincial Council at the regional level.
