Virginia Elementary School Will Host After-School Satan Club

A Virginia elementary school is hosting an after-school Satan Club for students starting in December.
The club will be happening at B.M. Williams Primary School in Chesapeake, Virginia, beginning on December 15.
According to a flyer posted on Reddit, the club will teach “benevolence and empathy, critical thinking, problem-solving, creative expression, personal sovereignty, and compassion.”
“We are non-theistic,” Rose Bastet, a volunteer organizing the new club, told local station WAVY. “I understand the apprehension behind the satanic name, but he is just an imaginary figure that we look to because he is the eternal rebel that fought for justice and humanity.
The club was set up in response to the Evangelical Good News Club being hosted at the school. The group argued that if the school allows one religion to host events, they must allow all.
Chesapeake Public Schools (CPS) Superintendent Dr. Jared Cotton sent a letter to parents saying that it is not a school district-approved club.
“The School District has long held policies and procedures in place which allow varied community groups to use our publicly funded facilities outside of the school day,” the letter said. “By law, CPS cannot discriminate based on beliefs among groups wishing to rent our facilities.”
According to their website, the Satanic Temple after-school clubs “meet at select public schools where Good News Clubs also operate. Trained educators provide activities and learning opportunities, which students are free to engage in, or they may opt to explore other interests that may be aided by available resources. The environment is open and parents are welcome to participate. While the classes are designed to promote intellectual and emotional development in accordance with TST’s tenets, no proselytization or religious instruction takes place.”
“Proselytization is not our goal, and we’re not interested in converting children to Satanism,” the organization’s mission statement reads. “After School Satan Clubs will focus on free inquiry and rationalism, the scientific basis for which we know what we know about the world around us. We prefer to give children an appreciation of the natural wonders surrounding them, not a fear of everlasting other-worldly horrors.”

Satanism Goes Mainstream in America Indoctrinating Children and Young People
Of course this ignores the larger issue as to why you are handing over your children to be “educated” by the State with their propaganda to begin with.
Once you do that, you’ve already lost your children, at least spiritually and morally, and if you don’t comply with school mandates, you could also lose them physically when the Child Welfare police show up to your door one day to explain why they are not coming home from school, but have been placed into Foster Care where you will now potentially fight for YEARS trying to get them back, if you ever do.

Federal Judge Orders School District To Allow After-School Satan Club
A federal judge on Monday ordered that a Pennsylvania school district must allow The Satanic Temple (TST) to use school property for its clubs, according to the ruling.
The ACLU filed a lawsuit against Saucon Valley School District (SVSD) after it allegedly denied an application from TST to host its “After School Satan Club,” despite having accepted the request earlier. A federal judge in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania issued a preliminary injunction Monday, requiring the district to allow the club while the lawsuit continues, according to the ruling.
“When confronted with a challenge to free speech, the government’s first instinct must be to forward expression rather than quash it,” the ruling read. “Here, although The Satanic Temple, Inc.’s objectors may challenge the sanctity of this controversially named organization, the sanctity of the First Amendment’s protections must prevail. Indeed, it is the First Amendment that enumerates our freedoms to practice religion and express our viewpoints on religion and all the topics we consider sacred.”
The district initially approved TST’s application to start one of its clubs on campus but rescinded the decision several days later after students’ families reacted with outrage that a satanic club was going to be allowed on campus. SVSD informed TST in February 2023 that the district had changed its decision because the organization’s permission slips sent to parents had not clearly explained that the club was not endorsed by the school or the district.
In the ruling, however, the judge said that since SVSD’s decision changed due to “The Satanic Temple’s controversial views on religion and the community’s negative reactions thereto,” the district had violated the First Amendment.
“The Court agrees,” the judge wrote. “Use of government regulations or statutes as pretext to shut down an organization or business because of the content of its speech or some undesired secondary effects of that speech violates the First Amendment.”
The ACLU commended the judge’s “powerful message” in a Monday press release.
“We applaud the court for recognizing the threat to the First Amendment rights of the After School Satan Club and The Satanic Temple and preventing Saucon Valley School District from continuing its brazen discrimination,” Sara Rose, deputy legal director of the ACLU of Pennsylvania, said in a press release. “This ruling sends a powerful message that the First Amendment protects the viewpoints and beliefs of all people and faiths.
TST and SVSD did not immediately respond to the Daily Caller News Foundation’s request for comment.
