The mayor of Castellar, Adrián Vaca, has conducted an official visit to Gibraltar along with senior citizens from the municipality. During the visit, he met with the Mayor of Gibraltar, Carmen Gömez, and the acting Chief Minister, Fabian Picardo.
In the morning, the group spent some time at the Mario Finlayson National Art Gallery, followed by an official welcome and an exchange of gifts between the respective mayors in the Mayor's Parlour.
In the afternoon, Adrián Vaca was received by the acting Chief Minister, Fabian Picardo, at Convent Place No. 6, where they both reiterated their commitment to working towards an area of shared prosperity for the Campo de Gibraltar.
The group visited Gibraltar as part of Castellar's "Active Seniors Program," a social well-being initiative led by the town hall. The courtesy visit to the Mayor's Office highlighted the strong social ties between Gibraltar and Castellar, which have been established over many generations, including the famous Royal Calpe Hunt, cycling, and nature trails, to name a few examples.
After their visit to the Town Hall, the group explored other iconic places in the city centre, such as the Gibraltar Museum.
