Action on Poverty tells Lunchtime Live around 6,500 are at risk of poverty in Gibraltar

The pressure group Action on Poverty says it believes around 6,500 people are at risk of poverty in Gibraltar.

This is based on Fabian Picardo's figure for average annual gross earnings of £32,625, as revealed during this week's budget.

Speaking on Radio Gibraltar's Lunchtime Live programme, Felix Alvarez and Lyana Armstrong-Emergy said the Chief Minister is out of touch with the average earnings of private sector workers.

They told presenter Ros Astengo, there needs to be a fairer distribution of wealth.
