The reality, that the presence of three senior members of the UK diplomatic Corp in Gibraltar for two days this week, discussing preparations for a UK/EU treaty over Gibraltar with our Government, goes unseen by our press and was only made public after the event seems incredible. The secrecy from the establishment, other than from the Governor’s Office, surrounding the meetings also beggars belief.

The silence raises questions about the effectiveness of our press services. What is odd, also, is how the story came into the public domain, following a Tweet from the Office of the Governor prompting a piece on this blog. It provokes the question, was that Tweet a mistake or purposeful? The accompanying photo belies that it was a mistake.
