The City Council reports that in the coming days the activation of new generation mobile network nodes, 4G and 5G, will take place in the city, allowing high-speed mobile connections in La Línea de la Concepción, with better indoor coverage and greater geographic range.
This process, managed by mobile operators, uses the 700 and 800 MHz bands and may cause issues with DTT reception. If any problems are detected with the television channel display, it can be reported to ‘Llega700’, the entity managing this process, which will resolve the issue by installing a free filter on the television antenna.
To do so, a free phone number has been set up: 900 833 999 and the website: http://www.llega700.es, where you can contact directly if it is a private home or business. In the case of living in a collective building, it will be the president or property administrator who must notify this service. After notification, a qualified technician will go to the affected location and carry out the necessary adjustments to resolve the issue. All of this at no cost.
The new mobile network will provide significant improvements in both download and upload speeds (photos, music, or high-definition audiovisual content), and also maximize the use of online applications, such as video games.
This deployment is part of what is established in Royal Decree 579/2019, of October 11, which led to the release of frequencies between 694 and 790 MHz (channels 49 to 60 of UHF) that were previously used for receiving Digital Terrestrial Television, a process also known as the Second Digital Dividend. From that point on, these frequencies were assigned to mobile operators to provide their new generation services."
