As humanity approaches The End in these Last Days humour and appropriate laughter may play an important role. Laughter can act like a pressure valve for overwhelming feelings and / or circumstances. I worked in a psych-ward for a brief period of time and the patients were extremely serious, but the workers were light-hearted and overall maintained a jovial attitude; even laughing when it was appropriate. It maintained balance and was also a prevention from being overwhelmed by the surrounding negative environment. Laughter can be beneficial under the right circumstances.
