THE 15 MINUTE CITY - MARK STEELE

Imagine you are one of the decision makers in a struggling tiny town such as the Magdalen Islands.

As tourism is suddenly booming, and let's say booming unnaturally due to a black swan event such as covid and going viral on the internet and putting a strain on local services and the fragile nature, someone has the idea that tourists should pay a fee.

  1. Do you think this is a good idea or do you say no because of reasons such as privacy?

  2. And if you think it's a good idea how would you implement it, please?

  3. Do you have proof that this is some kind of pilot program for a 15-minute city / WEF nightmare thing where you can't leave without showing your QR-code / microchip?

  4. Is this the first time tourist-tax like this has been introduced and if not were they also such pilot programs for 15-minute prison cities?
