It’s not impossible.
Global average includes oceans (70% of Earth), which warm slower than land due to water’s heat capacity.
Most countries (land-based) can thus warm faster than this average simultaneously.

Hi Cybe, but the reports say each particular place they mention is warming '‘faster than anywhere else in the world’', now its impossible to be true for all countries mentioned ( including Finland, I may add ). No more likely the MSM is pushing climate hysteria on behalf of TPTB so they can tax and control everybody.
The conflict arises from localized framing and omission of technical qualifiers. Multiple countries can simultaneously be "fastest" because they are using non-equivalent reference points.
Finland is located in the most physically justified high-warming zone on Earth: the Arctic and sub-Arctic.
News claims confuse three distinct comparisons:
| Claimed "Fastest" Country | Actual Scientific Comparison | Resulting Hyperbole |
|---|---|---|
| Finland/High Latitude | Warming faster than the Mid-Latitudes (due to polar amplification). | "...faster than anywhere else." |
| USA/Europe/Asia | Warming faster than the Global Average (diluted by the slower-warming ocean). | "...faster than the rest of the world." |
| Any Country | Fastest warming observed for a specific, short time period (e.g., a decade) or specific season. | "...fastest on record." |
Journalism selects the highest available, locally relevant data point and removes the necessary technical context (the comparison basis, the time period, or the seasonal qualifier). The aggregated result is logically impossible but individually based on selectively accurate data.
Reports claim regions warm faster than global average, not "faster than anywhere else."
Only some reports say “global average”. other say than the “rest of the world”.
The claim that multiple countries are warming "faster than anywhere else" is not a conspiracy, but a result of journalistic distortion applied to accurate climate data.
Every article is comparing a specific Land Area (Country X) to the Global Average rate. The Global Average includes the vast, slow-warming ocean (71% of Earth). Because land heats up twice as fast as the ocean, nearly all landmasses are warming faster than the Global Average.
"Rest of the world" is a casual substitute for the suppressed "Global Average."
Finland's high rate is due to its latitude. The Arctic region is warming up to four times faster than the Global Average due to melting ice (albedo effect). This places Finland, and all northern countries, among the genuinely fastest-warming regions.
The contradiction is only in the unqualified word "fastest." Multiple countries are simultaneously among the fastest, and all are faster than the global mean. The media simplifies this relative speed into an inaccurate absolute maximum.

That was the point of the video. The MSM’s “Climate alarmism”
