We're told the following in Revelation about the papacy during the latter days:
Revelation 17:8-11
17:8 The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the Bottomless Pit, and go into perdition [Hell…aka planet Earth]: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were NOT written in the Book of Life from the foundation of the world,when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is (Rev. 13:3).*
17:9 And here [is] the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth (Rome).
17:10 And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, [and] the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space.
17:11 And the beast that was, and is not, even it is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition.
Note: the RCC ceased to exist for a period of time after Napoleon invaded Italy, sacked Rome in 1798 and declared there would be no more popes
Since 1798 – other than Francis – there have been only 7 papal names: Pius, Leo, Gregory, Benedict, John, Paul, and John Paul.

The seven Papal names used since 1798,
and the number of popes using them:
- Twelve Pope's using the name Pius
- Fourteen Pope's using the name Leo (including Robert Prevost)
- Sixteen Pope's using the name Gregory
- Fifteen Pope's using the name Benedict
- Twenty One Pope's using the name John
- Six Pope's using the name Paul
- Two Pope's using the name John Paul
Translated into English the St. Malachy prophecy states the following:
(In extreme persecution, the seat of the Holy Roman Church will be occupied by Peter the Roman, who will feed the sheep through many tribulations, AT THE TERM OF WHICH the city of seven hills will be destroyed, and the formidable Judge will judge his people. The End.)
So this prophecy actually states that the end will come at the end of the tribulations, not at the end of the reign/rule of a specific pope.
Perhaps Jesuit Francis was the last pope on the list because he was there for the magic virus scam and promoted the lethal injection program, which may ultimately murder billions, including most if not all of his followers.
We'll just have to wait and see.
