As a reminder of who they may come for next, after they have to pull back from the backlash of euthanising the elderly. The spin will be “let’s vaccinate the children instead”.
The Guardian published this article six months ago “Covid-19 vaccine may not work for at-risk older people, say scientists.”
They already knew it might not work well on older people, and suggested jabbing the children -
“A vaccine against Covid-19 may not work well in older people who are most at risk of becoming seriously ill and dying from the disease, say scientists, which may mean immunising others around them, such as children … Sometimes it is possible to protect a vulnerable group by targeting another group.”
Was it an economic decision as @DOTS mentioned above? Because in targeting the elderly first, governments will save on pension payouts and medical costs.
