The OS 35 is, after almost a year, no longer an eyesore on the horizon for residents of Catalan Bay.
The Captain of the Port, John Ghio, hailed the removal operation a success. The pieces of the wreck were refloated and loaded onto a submersible.
It now waits in the Eastern anchorage for its final voyage to Amsterdam.
And the Port Authority says the exclusion zone restriction around the OS35 incident site has now been removed.
This means people can again access the area where the ship was formerly beached.
